Neon Rope Hanging Planter. I was wandering around the hardware store (one of my favorite pastimes) and spotted some hanging plant holders.

Neon Rope Hanging Planter

After studying it for a minute, I realized it was totally DIY-able! With some rope and a few knots you totally can create a one in 15 min flat. Then, take it a step further by custom dying the rope to match your décor. I partnered up with Bing on this project, using the search engine (available on iOS) to find some inspiration and research the knotting process. After browsing, I cashed in the reward points I received from clicking to score some rope on Amazon. What you need:RopeTie DyePots PlantsHooks Spraypaint (pink & yellow) What to do:-First cut 8 pieces of rope (length depends on how low you want the plant to hang and size of your pot) -Knot all for pieces at the bottom. This post was created in partnership with Bing. DIY Pantone chip magnets. I try to keep loose Pantone chips in an envelope for future projects, but these nice colors escaped and attached themselves to my file cabinet.

DIY Pantone chip magnets

If you happen to own a Pantone chip book or can beg a few chips from someone you know, here's how to whip up some little candy-like magnets. Cut small pieces of bookboard or other thick cardboard with an X-acto knife. (Bookboard is likely available at your local art store or PaperSource.) Make the pieces exactly the size of the Pantone chips.

Then paint the edges white; I used acrylic paint for this. Attach the chip to the cardboard. Then cover the face of the chip with paper glaze. Finally, attach a magnet to the back. DIY Planter and Candle Holder. Как сделать цветочные горшки своими руками?

DIY Planter and Candle Holder

The DIY Modern Outdoor Succulent Planter #2. Mason Jar Craft Storage! DIY+Pregnant Brain.

Without getting into too many details-the baby is going to be a little longer than we thought.

DIY+Pregnant Brain

We were afraid that she was going to be early, and now that she isn't, I sort of feel like I'm living life in limbo.I don't know if it's just me, or women in general, who find the strangest tasks to pass time until a baby arrives. Suddenly, the weirdest things pop on to our 'to do' lists, and become oddly important. And the tasks seem to grow weirder and weirder with each baby. Round bottomed fabric storage buckets – a tutorial. I love seeing fabric around the house, and I love making useful things out of fabric.

Round bottomed fabric storage buckets – a tutorial

Luckily these round bottomed storage buckets hit both points! Max seems to be amassing lots of collections of various types of toys these days, and as much as I try to keep them all organized, somehow I’m still always tripping over a matchbox car or lego piece. But I’m hoping that having places to put these toys will lessen the number of times this happens (a girl can hope, right?). Of course, toys aren’t the only thing you could store here – they’d also be good for knitting supplies, fabric scraps, hats & mittens, um… a pretty covering for a potted plant?

Whatever you want! And of course, since not everyone has use for this small size, I’ve also provided measurements for a larger version, perfect for storing yarn (I have 15 skeins in the one shown above), or anything else you can think of! DIY stiffened felt boxes. I love the thick wool felt that's increasingly popular, but man.

DIY stiffened felt boxes

Wool felt in the 3mm to 5mm range is really expensive ($130/yard or so). The boxes, bowls, and vessels made with it are very cool, though. So when I was poking around my local craft store, I found a poor girl's substitute: Eazy Felt. You know it's cheap when "easy" is spelled with a Z instead of an S on the product label. It's regular craft felt that's been stiffened into sturdy sheets, and cost me $1.78 per 12"x18" sheet. To make felt boxes, I cut a 9" square for the bottom piece, then added four slits and four diagonal cuts to trim away some of the excess felt on the tabs. I used a rotary cutter and ruler to cut out the main shape, then made the slits and diagonal cuts with an X-acto knife. The box top is similar, except the center area is larger to fit over the box bottom, and the sides are half the height.

After the pieces are cut, crease the tabs against the edge of a ruler to make assembly easier. DIY Paint Swatch Chandelier. A paint-swatch chandelier?

DIY Paint Swatch Chandelier

I think so :) {Step 1} You’ll need a whole bunch of paint swatches in your desired colours (seriously, emphasis on the whole bunch part). Hanging Birthday Calendar. I'm terrible at remembering my family's birthdays.

Hanging Birthday Calendar

This bugs my wife to no end because we're always scrambling last minute to find gifts (Thank you Amazon Prime 2-Day shipping). I have a little date book with the birthdays in it but I never think to check it. The solution is a calendar of sorts. There is a board with 12 hooks underneath, one for each month. Hanging on these hooks are, for lack of a better word, small plaques with a family members name and the day their birthday falls in the month.
