"When the Red Oak was first started, on May 1 st , 1970, the ladies who worked at the Red Oak because of the area that it is, were all farm wives and that's what they cooked," said owner Trisha Nusbaum. Nusbaum decided it was time to bring the restaurant into the city, and make a place where people can sit down and enjoy the local favorites.
