I honestly wish that I could have logged in all of the hours that I spent planning and grading on my own time in order to make myself a more effective teacher. Sorry Edmodo... Switching to Schoology. Dear Edmodo, I'm switching to Schoology.

Sorry Edmodo... Switching to Schoology

I'm so sorry... I appreciate all you've done for me, and I'll never forget you. And, unlike the Taylor Swift song - we might just get back together if you change/update. But right now Schoology has so much to offer me that you don't: easier workflow, advanced quiz and discussion features, a clean layout.... Love, Jennie. Why I Chose Schoology Over All the Rest. January 19, 2013 With so many Learning Management Systems (LMS) to choose from, which one should you adopt in your classroom?

Without a doubt, Blackboard has the largest market share in the field of LMS's, and I believe it's because they were one of the first companies to offer a product many colleges and school districts needed. However, being the biggest company out there doesn't equate it to being the best. I've tried Blackboard and found it frustrating. Their layout is clumsy and their features are illogically named. As this was reviewed in an earlier post, there is still an imminent need to review what tool I will be using for content delivery, tracking progress and collaboration activities. In working my way through hours of WordPress tutorials from Lynda.com, it seems apparent that WordPress has a greater potential than merely that of a blog. I foresee an inevitable integration into my online We The People course‘s arsenal of tools. Yet with at least 3 more online courses to complete on it’s uses, this blog will turn to a core component needed for course delivery, the learning management system.

The unexpected challenge on the floor is the question of which Learning Management System (LMS) will be used. CostExpandability/customizationInterface To build this course I will need a user-friendly interface with flexibility for expansion and integrations. Here is a look at the three in short. Schoolology.
