BERG make use of their specialised skills at imitating natural materials: they are faux basalt columns, hexagonal rock formations that are a prominent feature in Icelandic landscape. The app that was created to enable Samsung users to listen to Jay-Z’s album a few days in advance is a true data-mining operation that collects an insane amount of data from its users. The app needs to be able to modify or delete the contents of your USB storage, it can identify all of the running apps on your phone and it needs to know your *precise* GPS location. It comes to no surprise that she was always intrigued and inspired by how things look very different underwater: Shapes, lights, colors are shifting all the time, everything is vivid and fluid. Elena became interested in capturing this specific environment and specialised in underwater photography and we at Ben Trovato have always been a fan of this lady, so time for a chat.
