Natural looking beach curls in under 20 minutes!

Natural looking beach curls in under 20 minutes!
I don’t know about you ladies, but I’m itching for the summer. It doesn’t help that department stores are already putting out their summer wear and swimsuits. Have you ever wanted to get that beautiful “natural” beach curl look to your hair? I want to share with you a technique that works for ALL types of hair, whether it be short, long, thick, thin, frizzy, or flat… and no curling iron involved! 1. Dampen your hair with a spray bottle or let it semi air dry after washing it. As you can tell, I have a lot of wave to my hair, but this works for all hair types! 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Something to keep in mind is, obviously, the wetter your hair is to begin with, the longer it takes to dry. Give it a try! Do you have any tips on how this will work on your hair type? Sea Salt Spray DIY A blissful day of summer for me is playing on the beach with sunkissed cheeks and wind-swept beach hair. Unfortunately, like I told you here last week- I am a beach girl without a beach. What if I were to tell you that you can capture that care-free wavy hair without spending a lot of money on a fancy Sea Salt spray or spending a day on the beach…although, I would take beach time any day. I have used several sea salt products out there but noticed they can been costly and at times left my hair slightly too crunchy and dry. So, I wanted to come up with just the right recipe for my hair.

D.I.Y. Curls: How To Rag Roll Your Hair I love the look of naturally curly hair! My sweet friend, Katie, told me about rag rolling. How To Make Hair Grow Faster – and Other Healthy Hair Tips By Alexis Wolfer We all want shiny, healthy, flowing hair. Sure, some of it is genetic and some of it has to do with how we treat it (the products we use, styling tools we rely on) but a lot of it also has to do with how you feed it. No, we’re not talking about DIY hair masks (although you can click here for that!). Rather, we’re talking about the foods you can eat to ensure your hair is as healthy, smooth and shiny as possible, from the inside out!

Beat the Heat: The Top Knot ** If you’re stopping by from Pinterest, I have new post with a video on two ways to create the messy top knot for long hair. Check it out! If you have short hair, no worries! Secrets learned at makeup artist school You could say that I have a love/hate relationship with makeup. Some days I enjoy playing with all the different colors and get excited when my smoky eye turns out perfectly. But then there are those days when my liner refuses to go on straight, my bronzer makes me look like an Asian Snookie, or my lashes refuse to curl. That's when I want to toss my makeup bag out my bathroom window.

10 of the Best Drug Store Beauty Buys I have an apology to make: I used to be one of those girls behind the makeup counter of a big, fancy department store selling you over-priced beauty products. While I won’t say which brand I worked for, I can tell you that my uniform consisted of all black and way too much makeup. Hey, it was the 90’s, after all. Well, I’m here to make amends. Because, you see, not all department store makeup is better than the drug store version. In fact, a lot of drug store makeup is way better than the junk being sold in the department stores.

Frugal Beauty: 11 Household Items You Can Use As Beauty Products (photo: stuartpilbrow) A $25 face mask may be cheap enough to make it onto a magazine’s “bargain” beauty buys list, but there are less expensive and more effective head-to-toe pampering products to be had in your fridge and pantry. Even professional aestheticians and stylists turn to household staples like lemons, baking soda or yogurt when it’s time to clear skin of acne, soften rough patches or keep teeth sparkling. “What better way to achieve a natural glow, then from natural products?” asks Lily Morgan, the founder of Lily Organics Fresh Skin Care.
