24 - THE DIRTY - Dirty Laundry - {the blog} Friendship Day is 8/7. So I'm going to try my hand at making some friendship bracelets for a few of my friends that have helped me SO much with Dirty Laundry over the past several weeks. I'm going to try to make some snazzy ones! Here is my inspiration. 1. Hand Printed 'Insanity' Braided Cuff BraceletThis bracelet is made with hand printed fabric and super soft sued.I just LOVE how it all comes together. Colorful Patterned Owls We took a break from Halloween crafting this week by reading The Little White Owl by Tracey Corderoy and Jane Chapman. After completed our Little White Owl Craft we decided we wanted to make the colorful patterned owls depicted in the story too. Paper plates work so well to make owls, so we stuck with them on this project. Start by painting three small paper plates one color. After they are dry, use a different color to paint a pattern on one of the paper plates to use as the body for the owl.
DIY Dry shampoo has been a MUST HAVE in my daily hair care routine for the past three years. I’ve gone through countless spray cans of different brands (Psst!, Tresemme, John Frieda, Garnier, Oscar Blandi, Batiste…to name a few), spending way too much for very little product. I started to use plain old baby powder, sprinkling it directly on my roots and rubbing it in, and I found that it worked just as well or even better at giving my hair added volume and combating greasiness. I continued to do this for months until one day I was at work, and I happen to catch a glance of my hair in the mirror. It looked like I had smeared a powdered doughnut all over my head.

To make simply mix equal parts of liquid starch and glue together. We placed 1/4 cup liquid starch into a sandwich bag and added about 3 drops of green food coloring.
