Three Safe-to-Eat Cookie Doughs: Chocolate Chip, Sugar, and Cake Batter! ... - StumbleUpon
I’m siiiiick. If you follow Willow Bird Baking on Facebook or Twitter (you do, right?), you’ve probably heard me whining about it lately (okay, maybe this isn’t the best way to encourage you to follow). It started with a sore throat and has turned into a beastly, phlegmatic ogre of a cold that has taken up residence in my chest and commenced hanging draperies and such. I have protested this development with various hot teas, soups, and my favorite home remedy suggested by readers: complaining. Three Safe-to-Eat Cookie Doughs: Chocolate Chip, Sugar, and Cake Batter! I know my students are to blame for this plague! I can’t stay home until I’m better, but I do tend to baby myself when I’m sick. And I’m not even going to mention the amount of this cookie dough I consumed over the weekend. If nothing else, cookie dough is good for the soul. And now, look how far I’ve come: this weekend I made not one, but three kinds of cookie dough! So, in summary: I’m sick.

Better-Than-Crack-Brownies I’m sorry for doing this to you. I really am. But see, last Friday while I was on a 10-hour road trip heading for vacation, I received this recipe from a reader named Liz. Oreo and Peanut Butter Brownie Cakes So, after being gone all last week, this has been catch up on the house week. Mostly laundry actually. Man, who knew that a weeks worth of laundry from 5 people could be so daunting. Yikes!! But I am kind of behind on my cooking and baking as well since I've been gone and cleaning. Not to mention, I needed an Oreo fix!

S'more Cups If you ever camped during the summer, you've made s'mores. Here's an easy way to make mini s'mores at home. I found this recipe on the Pampered Chef website. Handle the Heat » White Chocolate-Macadamia Nut Cookie Dough Blondies I hope you’re still enjoying my new site design! Today’s recipe actually comes from The Cookie Dough Lover’s Cookbook which was written by Lindsay, the same woman who designed my website. When the book arrived at my house from Amazon, I practically drooled over every page. I had such a hard time selecting a recipe to try out first because they all looked so ridiculously good. I choose this recipe because my boyfriend happens to love white chocolate-macadamia nut cookies. 10 Tasty Mug Cakes That You Can Make in Just Minutes By bellalimento | I’m sure you’ve heard of cakes that you make in a microwave in MINUTES. I have to admit the first time I saw a recipe for one I was skeptical. I mean how can you make a cake in just a few minutes in the microwave?

Fried Ice Cream I'm sure you are thinking about Cinco de Mayo this very minute. You should be because it's in two days. We look for any excuse to celebrate. We look for any excuse to celebrate with food. This year I thought How to Cook Cubed Steak- 5 Ways to Prepare Cube Steak If you’ve never seen Food Network’s Alton Brown on his show Good Eats, be warned that the humor is pretty corny. Make no mistake though, the information is always good. In this episode, divided into two video clips, Brown opens by telling us what cubed steak is, and where it comes from on the cow. I’ve done a summary for you. Cubed steak is perforated in order to make it tender. Technically “cubed steak” can come from any portion of the cow except the shank and heel.

Spiral sugar cookies These colorful cookies from Sprinkle Bakes caught my eye last week as I perused for something festive to bring to Christmas Eve dinner. Aren't they pretty? The green swirl was fun for Christmas, but any color would be just as fun. Bright yellow for a spring-time cookie? Orange for a Halloween cookie? A swirl of colors for a birthday cookie?

Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies Make Your Own Girl Scout Cookies, Sans The Artificial Ingredients Whether you want to avoid some of the highly-processed ingredients (like trans fats and palm oil) or you just can’t wait for the annual cookie sale, we’ve got some simple ways to make healthier versions of these classic treats. Why Make Your Own Though Girl Scout cookies boxes say “trans-fat free,” the term is officially defined by the FDA as a food that contains less than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving, meaning some varieties — including uber-popular Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs — still contain trace amounts of the fat.
