Holder for Charging Cell Phone (made from lotion bottle) My husband and I both have cell phones. And both of us have phone chargers. And that means lots of obnoxious cords. You never know when one of us may be moving phone cords around, to give our phones an extra charge while we’re chatting away……… or trying to charge our phones up before running errands or something. Needless to say, those phone cords seem to be everywhere…..and are generally in the way and hanging all over the floor. (Okay, and how about when you’re in a hotel or visiting family/friends. Wipe Off Weekly Menu Board I am a meal planner. I refuse to go grocery shopping without my week’s worth of meals planned out and list made. (It’s either that or wander aimlessly around the grocery store for two hours and then make ten more trips back during the week to get things I forgot.) Once I get the groceries unloaded, I usually forget what I planned for, so I put together this super easy wipe-off menu board to keep track of what’s for dinner each night! fabric flower brooch tutorial « Happy Serendipity happy wednesday everyone. today i have a beautiful flower brooch tutorial to show you. it looks easy but it takes a bit of time and passion and patience but the outcome is really really nice. you need: 8 fabric squares (mine are 4×4 cm), a felt circle (this has a 4 cm diameter), thread and hot glue. fold the squares into a triangle. then fold the outer corners to the middle. it should look like this. sew the corner together and you’ll get 8 little “blossoms”. with a bit of hot glue on the felt circle i attached coordinating fabric so it would match with the blossoms. I Love You Cards This year I made this adorable gift for my boyfriend. On a deck of cards, I thought of 52 reasons why I love him soo much (I could have easily come up with 1000 <3) I typed them out and cut them up. Some cards I glued the white paper on and cut out patterned hearts. The other cards I backed the white paper with the same patterned paper and glued them on.

My So Called Green Life...: How to Sew a Credit Card Wallet, Business, or Gift Card holder Update: I've finally created a Flickr group where you can upload photos of the credit card wallets you've made. I've seen some really fun versions out there, so please share them with us here~ I'm a huge purse-lover, but I always find myself grabbing my driver's license and credit card when running into the grocery store, post office, out to drop the kids off at school, etc., so I love having these little wallets in a multitude of colors and patterns. They're light enough to grab and go and compact enough to slide in my back pocket.

DIY Gross out: How to make a horror-tastic intestine wreath If you want your house to display an original decoration, perfect for Halloween (or anytime of the year if you and/or the kids are horror fans), try making an intestine wreath. My husband was inspired by a posting on BoingBoing which described how to use your standard "crack filler goop" to make realistic intestines rupturing from a dummy. We decided to skip the dummy and make a wreath complete with eyeballs purchased from any craft aisle.

Lauren Elise Crafted - Blog - Crafted DIY: Silhouette Mason Jars I love mason jars! They have such an old-fashioned feel to them and they represent a past era, a time when we canned all of our food (why can't we go back to this?). Mason jars are making a comeback and they are commonly seen as decor at weddings and events. I cannot get enough of this trend.

Stash Books There are lots of different jewelry storages ideas. One of the interesting solutions is stash book. It doesn’t take much space, does not attract attention and looks very stylish and elegant. The most interesting feature of this idea is that you can do it yourself from any book without using a lot of effort. DIY Wrap Bracelet You should all know by now that we are all about stacking bracelets on our wrists. The more, the better. In fact . . . the most, the best! Tiny Polaroid Magnets Hi there! It’s felt like forever since I’ve last blogged, and has felt like an eternity since I’ve done anything crafty and nifty. Since my morning sickness has gone into full speed (yes, we’re expecting our third this fall!)

How to make gift bags from newspaper When I bought something at a store recently, the clerk handed me my purchase in a bag made from a newspaper. I liked it very much and had to make some more—thus today's DIY recycled newspaper project: gift bags made from the Wall Street Journal. You can vary the dimensions, of course, but here's what I used to create a bag that's 5" tall, 4.5" wide, and 3" deep. Stack two sheets of newspaper on top of each other. This will be a two-ply bag for extra sturdiness. Yarn Balls Jessica of Wednesday Inc shows us how to make those gorgeous twine chandeliers from the inspiration shoot she shared with us this morning. Using balloons, glue and twine, you can also make these lanterns for your wedding – and then bring it home and use it as your very own mid century lampshade. What you will need are: balloons, glue, yarn, tray for glue, corn starch 1/2 cup of Corn starch, 1/4 cup of Warm water, clear fast drying spray paint, hanging lamp cord or fishing line (depending on your desired final product), and a lighting kit if you’re looking for a fully functional lantern. Jessica recommends using a sharpie to mark on the inflated balloon how much room you need to leave for the lighting cord.
