The researchers used a new X-ray technique to verify the authencity of the artwork. “With this new radiography, there was no more doubt,” Kroller-Muller Museum spokeswoman Sylvia Gentenaar told AFP .

March 12th, 2012 Evan Roth has been living and making new work in Detroit for the last month, gearing up for a solo exhibition that opens this Wednesday at Eastern Michigan University: Welcome to Detroit . His new series of artworks is called: Propulsion Paintings. Loving it! As part of his residency at Eastern Michigan University, he’s teaching a course called Art and Hacking where he had the students create their own Propulsion Paintings as their first project.

In follow-up to " Tender ", his dedicated volume on vegetables, London-based food writer Nigel Slater turns to the fruit section of his garden in " Ripe ". The beautifully photographed tome serves as a comprehensive primer on 23 types of fruit and a collection of more than 300 recipes, but most importantly, reads like an alphabetically organized love letter to each and every variety, from apples and apricots to gooseberries, damsons and elderflower. Cool Hunting
Tyree Callahan Paints some gorgeous impressionist style paintings. However, the main piece of art that really grabbed my attention was his Chromatic Typewriter. Phantogram is Sarah Barthel (vocals, keyboards) and Josh Carter (vocals, guitars) and this is a live performance of Let Me Go on KEXP. Phantogram is currently touring Europe and will be in the U.S. later this spring. Abigail Reynolds is an artist based in London and has been exhibiting her artwork around the world since Y2K, remember that mess? Anyway, Reynolds latest work is constructed from primarily from found book images to construct a new composition.
