Voici le message reçu le 12 juillet 2011 par les employés du CEA, les invitant à perfectionner les systèmes biométriques du centre en donnant leurs empreintes digitales. Bonjour, Le centre d’évaluation de la sécurité des technologies de l’information a besoin de se doter d’une base de donnée d’empreintes digitales anonymes afin de tester la fiabilité et le niveau de sécurité des systèmes biométrique et notamment des lecteurs d’empreintes digitales. Vous trouverez en pièce jointe les informations utiles dans le document relatif à l’accord de la CNIL pour la création de cette base de données anonyme. Nous organisons durant le mois de juillet août une campagne de collecte volontaire dans les différentes salles café et les restaurants H1, H2 et H3

Les puces RFID ( Radio Frequency IDentification ) sont des puces électroniques constituée d'une antenne et d'un microprocesseur. On peut y stocker pas mal d'informations, et contrairement aux cartes à puces (carte bancaire, téléphonique...etc), on peut lire ces informations et les mettre à jour sans inserer la puce dans un lecteur. Tout passe par l'antenne sur des fréquences plus ou moins haute.

Since the project found so much positive resonance, we probably are going to work on some other realizations of the concept, e.g. building an RFID-Zapper from scratch, without a single-use-camera. Why should I need such a thing? We have to expect to be surrounded by RFID-Tags almost everywhere within the near future, and they will serve many different purposes. The benefits and risks of this technology and it's use are already being discussed. However, there will be attempts to use RFID-Tags to establish constant surveillance and to further threaten and compromise the privacy of customers (and citizens and even non-citizens, when governments start to use RFID-Tags like the German government already did).
