Ethereal Macro Photos of Snowflakes in the Moments Before They Disappear Russian photographer Andrew Osokin is a master of winter macro photography. His photo collection is chock full of gorgeous super-close-up photographs of insects, flowers, snow, and frost. Among his most impressive shots are photographs of individual snowflakes that have fallen upon the ground and are in the process of melting away. The shots are so detailed and so perfectly framed that you might suspect them of being computer-generated fabrications. They’re not though. The images were all captured using a Nikon D80 or Nikon D90 DSLR and a 60mm or 90mm macro lens. Man's Parkinson's disease symptoms vanish with the push of a button Probably for surgery or for charging or changing batteries in the timing unit in his chest. Odoreader, Innovative British Invention, Can 'Smell' Bladder Cancer In Your Pee: Study Could early cancer detection be a simple bathroom break away? That's the hope of a group of British researchers who say they have created a device to recognize and identify indicators of bladder cancer in a urine sample. Developed by researchers from the University of Liverpool and the University of the West of England (UWE) Institute of Biosensor Technology, the Odoreader device is designed to analyze chemicals in urine and return results within 30 minutes. A sensor in the device essentially "smells" for specific chemicals that indicate the presence of cancer cells. "It is thought that dogs can smell cancer, but this is obviously not a practical way for hospitals to diagnose the disease," Professor Norman Ratcliffe of the Institute of Biosensor Technology at UWE Bristol, said in a statement released by the University of Liverpool.

String Rainbows of Color, Color, Color: Ethereal Thread Art Installations I can’t believe I haven’t posted Gabriel Dawe‘s work on here before: his large-scale installations made of thread are bursting with color that fades in and out of different opacities and hues. This ethereal effect is created using sets of string that can measure up to 50 miles long in total, and the carefully placed threads are delicate yet dense in their combined form. Each installation is a marvelous exploration of color, space, and even shapes– from different angles, the threads take on different forms and tones as they overlap one another visually, and the pieces fill the installation space with color and lightness and depth.

The 32 Rules of Zombieland The new Zombieland TV Series just premiered on Amazon Prime for FREE and for the most part I enjoyed it. I think that the series will definitely find an audience if they play their cards right and don’t skimp on the production because episode 1 may not have been perfect but it was 30 minutes of unique zombie themed entertainment. If you have not already you can read Halloweenie’s review of the ZombieLand TV series where you will also read what our community thinks of the series. Lets be honest what we think is only one small part of the equation as to whether a movie or TV show is worth watching As you die-hard fans know Zombieland has 32 rules ( 33 if you just watched the show ) and we figured it would be fun to list the rules of ZombieLand that we know and fill in the blanks for the ones we can not remember.
