The authors pointed to a study by Matthew Gailliot and colleagues in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin in 2008 that tested how just being physically near a cemetery affects how willing people are to help a stranger. "Researchers hypothesized that if the cultural value of helping was made important to people, then the heightened awareness of death would motivate an increase in helping behaviors," Vail says. The researchers observed people who were either passing through a cemetery or were one block away, out of sight of the cemetery. Letterfu - Letter-writing without envelopes, cutting or glue - StumbleUpon T-Shirt Refashion: Jersey Necklace Sometimes I feel like I ride on the coattails of creative people. Back in January as I was surfing my favorite blogs, I came across this post on Ultra Vroom about cardigans and fabric necklaces. I instantly fell in love and had to have a fabric necklace for my very own. I week or so later I remembered the large stash of white jersey hanging around the basement and hap-hazardly made my own version of Annie‘s fabric necklace. If I remember correctly, I wore that necklace for 4 days in a row. I love my necklace so much, I’ve been wanting to share it with you for sometime, but haven’t worked on the tutorial until just now. Materials: 1 XXL or XXXL men’s t-shirtScissors and/or rotary cutterSewing machine and or needle & thread Cut off the bottom hem of the shirt. Cut open one end of each strip. Sew coiled ends together. Once finished braiding, sew ends together to make three separate rings of fabric. Voila! If you twist the loop twice before doubling over, the necklace looks like this (above).

...love Maegan: Messy Rope Braids and Low Bun Hair Tutorial Fashion+Home+Lifestyle Blog These little rope braids are a fun way to add a little style with your own hair, creating a sort-of headband of sorts. Your hair doesn’t need to be extremely long, but you do need some length to cover the top of your head with. If you have layers, you could instead create a tiny French Braid where the hair is shorter and closer to your head, if that makes sense. I originally wore this style last Summer with two slightly larger braids Watch and Enjoy… * Notes: Instead of one large bun, create two or three little buns at base of your head OR swap the bun for a clean pony tail.
