Cashmere Hoody Cashmere Hoody I made this pullover with 100% cashmere that I found on eBay. I do not know the manufacturer, it was on industrial cones, so you won’t be able to duplicate the sweater, but working to gauge you can use your own DK yarn for this loose, casual sweater. I won’t tease you by saying that it feels incredible (oh, I guess I just did) but at least you can see that it looks pretty cool.... Yarn: DK weight that knits to gauge **** Check! Knitting Beyond the Hebrides - Lace Symposium Tips & Tricks Lifelines: I use dental floss and probably put in fewer than I should really use, but can't knit a lace shawl without using them. My tip is that when knitting a lace shawl that has an edging knitted on to live stitches, be sure to add a lifeline to the last row before starting the edging. The reason is that any dropped stitches in the edging itself could translate into ladders that go into the body of the shawl. I once had to work back about a foot of edging in order to tink several rows into the shawl itself and make repairs caused by a needle that slipped out. - Janet Place a stitch marker after every pattern repeat to keep track of where you are in your pattern.

Don't worry! This is normal; the fabric will become flat and smooth when blocked. This pattern incorporates many short rows, most of which are only a few stitches long. Turning your work this frequently can be cumbersome and tedious, so the technique of knitting backwards is recommended (though not required). Instructions for this technique can be found here.

Fuzzy Thoughts: baby mitten socks This is actually the second pair of socks I knit for Lev. The first pair I made from a Debbie Bliss pattern, and they don't fit him very well. I guess sometimes you need to do things wrong, before you can figure out how to do them right! Anyway, I thought I would share how I made these socks, in case you feel like making some for a special little one you know. The pattern does not have a lot details, so if you do try them out, let me know if I can add anything useful (or if I've made a mistake, which is quite possible considering how much sleep I get these days).
