Pip & Ebby - Pip & Ebby - Hot cocoa cookies
I am a teeny bit obsessed with the cookies from the most recent issue of EveryDay with Rachael Ray magazine. This recipe is the second of many cookie recipes on my list to make this holiday season. Sweets are taking over my life! Just ask my coworkers. They get my leftovers, and I think they are starting to resent the way I am forcing them to eat sinful treats. I don't think I need to tell you that these were tasty. Ooey gooey chocolatey marshmallowy deliciousness. In a medium saucepan, melt together: 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter 12 oz. chopped semisweet chocolate (bars) Stir frequently over medium heat until smooth. In a medium bowl, whisk together: 1 1/2 cups flour 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Using an electric mixer, beat together: 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar 3 eggs, at room temperature 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract Beat on low speed until smooth, 2 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Enjoy!

Teach yourself to program We are entering the summer, the perfect time to improve yourself, you could go running or swimming, you could learn a new foreign language or perhaps you could learn to program. Self-learning is not as hard as it sounds, and it’s much easier than self-learning Spanish or French. There are really wonderful sources to start learning these new languages, understanding the concept behind programming and giving it a try with some interesting problems. Basic Programming Via XKCD Kiss Pies Only 5 days before Christmas! Woohoo, is everyone ready? What a great time of year. 20 Calories, 3 Carbs, and It Doesn't Taste Like Ass? No Way! I had a dinner tonight that was uber healthy. It was delicious, and all three of my kids gave it a thumbs up. I’m sure you’re dying to know just how healthy it was, right? I’m gonna break it down for ya right now. These noodles have:

For as little as $2.50 per pot at a farmer’s market, you’ll have years of bounty. The perennial is hardy: Frugal Foodie has had the same pot on her balcony going on five years now. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip It’s time for a little confession. I realize this may get me shunned (especially in my hometown of Pittsburgh!), but….I don’t like football. I don’t like to watch it, I never liked playing football with my friends, I don’t even like playing catch with a football.

Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies! What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week. They are so simple to whip up, and such a treat!

Time for new treats Thanksgiving is only four days away. Can you believe that? Insanity, I know. Ice Cream Cookie Pie I can’t explain what possessed me to bake an enormous chocolate chip cookie in the bottom of a pie plate and then pile it high with hot fudge, mint chip ice cream, whipped cream, toasted almonds and chocolate shavings. I could try to convince you that I was motivated by it being Pi(e) Day, but seeing as 3.14 came and went a few days ago that reason wouldn’t really be valid. Or I could blame the green ice cream on St. Patrick’s Day coming up. These would only be excuses.
