New Music And Songs Official Site: | @steviewf SWF is the dream of and moniker of artist, musician, and self-described mystic, Stevie Weinstein-Foner. Stevie’s songs of love and longing roll from his debut album, Let It Be Told, like mantras blasted from the radio of a brightly painted VW van cruising along a metaphysical highway of endless summer. Let It Be Told (out October 8 via Mecca Lecca Recording Co.) was recorded in Memphis, TN at High Low studios, and the album’s soulful declarations are accompanied by a flock of fuzzy guitars, vibrant vocal harmonies, and very singable hooks. Time Out New York calls SWF "warm, mellow, scruffy rock & roll," and the band’s performances are a passionate celebration of a spirit-driven American experience. After spending the summer of 2008 in the Grand Canyon rafting down the Colorado River, Stevie moved to Brooklyn, NY where he began to study yoga and write the songs which would become the material for Let It Be Told.

Using Silent Video in the EFL Classroom This video is the BOMB! It is captivating, absorbing, a story par excellence but also SILENT! Yes, silent films are great for getting students to produce language — and after all is said and done, that most often is the hardest thing to do, getting the students speaking and learning language by just communicating. That is our job, to get the students so absorbed in the communicative act that they forget they are learning. When we forget and are not consciously fixated on the language – we learn so much more!
