Just some fun really, nothing too serious. The model is a pre-painted die-cast 1/50 International TD-25 Dozer made by First Gear that I simply added the wear and tear to. I have always wanted to play in the dirt with one of these, and my neighborhood has a lot of construction going on to build a new park nearby--making for some great inspiration. I gave the ol' "salt chipping" method a try on the dozer blade face only and really liked it, and for this size model I used table salt and baker's sugar (which is very fine grain) for size variations. This is not my official entry, just some practice if you will. I also wanted to say I love this GB idea and what has been shown is top notch work guys. Best, Mike This is what I started with... Mk. IV by Murat Özgül This is the Tamiya 1/35 scale Centaur C.S. Mk. The model is finished with Tamiya acrylics (as usual!) Weathering consists of chipped paint replicated with Humbrol (Super) Enamel followed by oil paint and acrylics washes. The tank represents one serving in Normandy, France, June 1944. Very easy, very fresh and very small kit! Mostly finished OOTB, i use only a small plastic sheet. Highly recomment for all russian fans! I started here after many stage like this... This Russian field kitchen is a very unique kit, as only a German field kitchen was available The manual contains 25 build steps plus the painting instructions for the figures and a paint charts with suggestions from Vallejo, Testor, Tamiya, Revell and Mr. Color. The kit consists of 144 parts in grey styrene. One sprue is for the field kitchen itself, another sprue for four three Russian soldiers in lifelike poses that fit excellent to the topic..
Knock-out marks are only found on the inner faces of the main parts, which are hidden after assembly. Rc Tank Warfare - Another Jagdpanther Build. We had the builders in last week and as my tanks are kept in the utility room they were on show to all.
Not a great deal was said about them until around about there 5th coffee break. At this point the plumber who was busy eating the last of my jaffa cakes pointed at the ambush cammo jagdpanther and said that it reminded him of some aboriginal cave art he had seen in Australia last year The seed had been planted. Every time I looked at the Jagdpanther Rolf Harris was sitting in the commanders hatch singing 'Sunrise, early in the morning'. I think you will all know what happens next, on with the oven cleaner, and off with the 'aboriginal' ambush cammo. The search was on for another cammo pattern for the Jagdpanther. The whole tank was sprayed tamiya hull red again. The cammo pattern is done with standard tamiya dark green thinned by about 40%. Anyway here are the pics:- The pattern is almost invisible on the fighting compartment roof. and heavier on the hull sides CheersJohn.
