2012-05 Time to move on: all content here will migrate to HTML5. I do not have the resources to support older browsers. If something does not work, there are excellent free browsers: Chrome, FireFox, Opera, Safari. These pages demonstrate visual phenomena, and »optical« or »visual illusions«.

glasbead

http://www.cityarts.com/glasbeadweb/glasbead.htm To play online, you must disable any firewall software or the connection cannot be established. However, you can still play glasbead offline with firewalls enabled. The entire structure can be spun by flinging the ball at the core with a click and drag motion. Each "stem" can be flung individually around this core.

aM laboratory

http://lab.andre-michelle.com/tonematrix Simple sinewave synthesizer triggered by an ordinary 16step sequencer. Each triggered step causes a force on the underlaying wave-map , which makes it more cute. it could be a very popular and really addictive thing if you keep working on it! - add more sounds showed by different colors - add vertical line which helps identify speed and current position of toggled cells - ability to change speed of line - octave up, down buttons - ability to add new matrix lower or upper than main one, similar to layers. Each layer could be used as separate line for bass, lead, and so on. Slick!
Note: The simplified mechanisms of drug action presented here are just a small part of the story. When drugs enter the body they elicit very complex effects in many different regions of the brain. Often they interact with many different types of neurotransmitters and may bind with a variety of receptor types in a variety of different locations. For example, THC in marijuana can bind with cannabinoid receptors located on the presynaptic and/or postsynaptic cell in a synapse. Where applicable, this presentation primarily depicts how drugs interact with dopamine neurotransmitters because this website focuses on the brain's reward pathway.

Constructor | sodaplay.com

http://sodaplay.com/creators/soda/items/constructor Sodaconstructor is a construction kit for interactive creations using masses and springs. By altering physical properties like gravity, friction, and speed, curiously anthropomorphic models can be made to walk, climb, wriggle, jiggle, or collapse into a writhing heap.
