He feels Derek’s eyes on him as he hugs his knees to his chest, breath hitching a little with every small noise, every scent he catches when he forgets himself and breathes through his nose. Stiles swears he’s never doing that again. He doesn’t want to know about every small animal that stood against the tree or is lurking nearby. He doesn’t want to be able to smell the blood drying on his skin and staining his clothes, the scent sharp and sweet and sickening. He whines, just a little, takes long breaths through his mouth and closes his eyes, forehead falling forward against his legs.
