Word from the unions says that workers will go on with repeated strikes starting next week. Looks like the EU's and the IMF's trump card, a banker PM with the assistance of neoliberals and fascists, aren't enough to break the people's will.

THREE children and a teacher were shot dead outside a Jewish school in Toulouse, southwestern France, in an attack which bore close similarities to two previous fatal shootings of French soldiers. The gunman opened fire outside the Ozar Hatorah school in the Croix-Daurade neighbourhood of Toulouse at around 7.55am local time, shooting everything that moved and chasing terrified children indoors, before fleeing on a scooter. "He shot at everything he could see, children and adults, and some children were chased into the school," local prosecutor Michel Valet said at the scene.

Bitcoin: a pirate's booty or the new global currency?
On July 19, Doctor Nefario, founder of the Global Bitcoin Stock Exchange, arrived at Seattle airport and was asked if he had enough money to cover his stay in the US.
