Raphaël—JavaScript Library

Raphaël—JavaScript Library
What is it? Raphaël is a small JavaScript library that should simplify your work with vector graphics on the web. If you want to create your own specific chart or image crop and rotate widget, for example, you can achieve it simply and easily with this library. Raphaël ['ræfeɪəl] uses the SVG W3C Recommendation and VML as a base for creating graphics. This means every graphical object you create is also a DOM object, so you can attach JavaScript event handlers or modify them later. Raphaël’s goal is to provide an adapter that will make drawing vector art compatible cross-browser and easy.

NSA surveillance: how to stay secure Now that we have enough details about how the NSA eavesdrops on the internet, including today's disclosures of the NSA's deliberate weakening of cryptographic systems, we can finally start to figure out how to protect ourselves. For the past two weeks, I have been working with the Guardian on NSA stories, and have read hundreds of top-secret NSA documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden. I wasn't part of today's story – it was in process well before I showed up – but everything I read confirms what the Guardian is reporting. At this point, I feel I can provide some advice for keeping secure against such an adversary. The primary way the NSA eavesdrops on internet communications is in the network.

SVG Animations Using CSS and Snap.svg Today I wanted to share with you the ease of animation in SVG with the tools we have available to us today. SVG is still one of those subjects that can scare away a lot of developers, but I'm here to show you hopefully just how easy it can be. While doing my usual search on the internet for inspiration, I came across this great post on From Up North. Box-shadow, one of CSS3′s best new features Home / CSS3 Previews / Box-shadow, one of CSS3’s best new features The box-shadow property allows designers to easily implement multiple drop shadows (outer or inner) on box elements, specifying values for color, size, blur and offset. Browser support is growing of late with Mozilla (Firefox), Webkit (Safari/Chrome/Konqueror), Opera and the IE9 Platform Preview all offering a decent implementation of the spec, although Mozilla and Webkit still require their respective -moz- and -webkit- prefixes (note Mozilla Firefox 4.0+ no longer requires the -moz- prefix).

cvsGraphCtx Manuel de référence Cango3D Canvas Graphics Object 3D, Cango3D, is a graphics library for the HTML5 canvas element. Cango3D uses the fact that straight lines and Bézier curves maintain their shape under 3D transformation. Restricting object outline definitions to these types means that smooth curves can be drawn in 3D with very few points needing to be transformed and projected onto the 2D canvas. The current version of Cango3D is 4.06, and the source code is available at Cango3D-4v06.js. jQuery Easing Plugin Description A jQuery plugin from GSGD to give advanced easing options. I’ve been pondering for a long time how to explain it well and I think the best way to do so is via four layers: single objects, prototype chains, constructors, constructor inheritance. The first two layers are JavaScript’s simple OOP core, layers 3 and 4 are where the complications start.

JavaScript animation Object movement JavaScript makes webpage content dynamic, allowing user interaction and animation. The principle of JavaScript animation is rather simple; webpage elements, most often images, have their style or position within the page altered by a script. Repeating this process at sufficiently short intervals has the effect of simulating smooth motion of the element about the page.
