Overview - Welcome to Flubaroo The grades created by Flubaroo will be located in an adjacent worksheet called "Grades", as shown: For each submission, Flubaroo will show which questions were answered correctly ("1" point"), which incorrectly ("0" points), and which were not graded. If less than 60% of students got a question correct, the question will be highlighted in orange to alert you. Additionally, students who scored less than 70% on the assignment will be highlighted in red. The Flubaroo menu will now offer you the ability to email each student their grades, view a summary report, or regrade the assignment. You might want to regrade the assignment if more students submitted answers, or if you want to throw out a question that most students got wrong.

Classroom Techniques: Formative Assessment Idea Number Three We’ve touched on a couple of formative assessment ideas in our blogging thus far, namely using Popsicle™ sticks as an all-student response system during class and using exit tickets to assess student learning. These formative assessment ideas involve all students, while giving teachers the information they need to make adjustments to their teaching. Ideas like these and others have proven to increase student learning. Another formative assessment idea that engages the entire class and provides evidence of student learning is the white board. Small, personal-sized white boards are inexpensive and if each student has them at their desk they can provide answers and information by simply raising them. Teachers can quickly grasp student understanding and adjust how they move forward.

Multiple Choice Monday: Using Socrative in the Classroom Each Monday my students do multiple choice practice. My non-AP classes work on SAT reading comprehension questions while my AP students focus on AP exam type questions. Know Students Better: 17 Tools for Formative Assessment When teachers know their students well, they can build strong connections that lead to better learning. Knowing students’ interests, strengths, and weaknesses help teachers tailor learning experiences for their students. Formative assessment involves the teacher collecting information about what students know, don’t know, and want to learn. This information takes many forms, including observations, exit tickets, discussions, games, and quizzes.
