The Selfish Giant (Oscar Wilde) - video One of most beautiful and famous fairy tales by Oscar Wild. The story of a grumpy selfish giant and a little boy who teaches him about a happy life and an eternal spring. An inspirational story to make you think about how you are running your life. If you want to see it with subtitles, make sure you activate YouTube subtitles on the video. Every afternoon as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the giant's garden. It was a large lovely garden, with soft green grass.

Student Fishbowl Student Fishbowl This activity requires 60-90 minutes. Purpose: Fishbowl activities force participants to listen actively to the experiences and perspectives of a specific group of people. A student fishbowl gives pre-service and in-service educators an opportunity to hear the experiences, ideas, and feedback of current students while giving the students an opportunity to be active in the dialogue on educational equity. Preparation: Socialising 4: Active listening Perhaps the most important skill connected with socialising is to ‘shut up and listen’. In practice, it can be very difficult to resist the temptation to turn every conversation into a conversation about what we consider the most interesting thing in the world, i.e. ourselves. The most skilful active listeners include nurses, social workers, psychotherapists and counsellors, so this lesson focuses especially on the techniques studied and used by these professionals.
