The DMMapp is an open source app that links to digital repositories containing digitized western medieval manuscripts from all over the world. Finding digitized repositories can be difficult, and we want to create a central hub that can help medievalists, codicologists, and enthusiasts to find the medieval manuscripts they are searching for.

Think again about the pillaging Viking warriors - it wasn't just the men who raided Britain - Science - News Scientists have found that Viking men took significant numbers of women with them in their longboats when they sailed to places such as the Scottish mainland, Shetland, Orkney and Iceland – contradicting the stereotype of male-only raiding parties with an unhealthy appetite for rape and pillage. Researchers who analysed the genetic material – maternally inherited mitochondrial DNA extracted from 80 Viking skeletons unearthed in Norway – found that Norse women played a central role in the Viking settlements established in Britain and other parts of the North Atlantic. Until relatively recently, it was thought to be mainly Viking men who sailed in longboats from their homeland in Norway, Denmark and Sweden to raid distant coastal settlements overseas. How To Heal Unbalanced Chakras After awakening, initiates may have discovered that during their sleep, their chakras have become unbalanced. Bringing balance to the energy centers in the body known as chakras will necessitate devotion to spiritual, mental and physical practice. Integration of the knowledge within this tome will provide initiates with the exercises needed to tune the body's vibration into harmony with the chakras. Being in sync with these wheels and the aura will cause initiates to be filled with energy, organizational efficiency, and happiness. Balancing the spiritual, chemical and hormonal components of the body is commonly referred to as homeostasis, and chakra healing is the primary part of that process. 5 Strategies to Read People’s Emotional Energy Emotions are a stunning expression of our energy, the “vibe” we give off. We register these with intuition. Some people feel good to be around; they improve your mood and vitality. Others are draining; you instinctively want to get away. This “subtle energy” can be felt inches or feet from the body, though it‘s invisible. What is Europeana doing with semantic web and linked open data? We’ve received this question several times. Especially since we’ve been claiming for a while that linked data was important for us, for example in this whitepaper, and have tried to encourage its promotion in our domain, for example by this video… The coming LODLAM summit provides a good reason to blog about it. Perhaps this can help discuss, understand and guide how organisations like ours can use it… First, of course, we’ve played with a “real” Linked Open Data service, data.europeana.eu. But it’s still in pilot phase, not yet strictly aligned with our production system.
