mustache mug tutorial A fun, easy and silly gift to give the cute men in our lives this Father's Day. First, draw a mustache on the top of your mug with a sharpie marker. As you can see mine took a couple times to get right. Second, trace around the edges of the drawn mustache with your Pebeo pen. Next, fill in the mustache with your Pebeo gel stain.

Blue Roof Designs » What do those Dremel bits do? Well I’ll tell ya! Yeah, I’m an overachiever. I originally thought I could fit all of my notes from Jill Timm‘s class, The Amazing Dremel, into one blog post. Bwahahahahahahah!!! hello, Wonderful - 10 CREATIVE ORIGAMI CRAFTS FOR KIDS Origami, the art of paper folding, isn't just about paper cranes. With some decorative papers and folding techniques, you can make something quite beautiful to admire with the kids. Like pretty paper gems, hanging boat mobiles or funny little animals. Etched Glasses for Father's Day By Jennifer Perkins Like most red blooded men out there, my husband enjoys an ice cold beer from time to time. Last year was his first Father’s Day so I whipped up a custom 6 pack of beer for him. This year I decided to continue with the beer theme (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it), but upgraded things a bit. No one keeps empty beer bottles, but a set of customized pint glasses are forever. This is especially true when those pint glasses have pictures of your kids on them (both animal and human ones).

Mega Roundup: 25 Easy DIY Jewelry Organizer Projects I'll be the first to admit that my jewelry organization situation is pretty horrendous. The knobs on my closet doors are home to countless necklaces, half of which fall off if one happens to even glance in their general direction. Fortunately, there are DIY jewelry holders aplenty, a few of which I have my eye on for upcoming weekend projects. Check out all 25 below and let me know which one is your fave!

Lemonade Goodies: Part 2 Because you know I can’t get enough of labels (particularly the French vintage kind ), here’s a few more to incorporate bright and happy as ‘lemonade’ into your celebration. And for some Tuscan (Provence?) flair, I’m loving the garland embellished with citrus fruits. Jam Jar Lanterns Make: Projects Jam Jar Lanterns Set your party mood with sublime lighting. Share this: Lighting makes an event, and candles transform the mundane into the extraordinary. These glass jar lanterns are beautiful hanging from a tree, or from chain across a deck. Brain Waves And The Deeper States Of Consciousness Every part of your body vibrates to its own rhythm. Your brain has a unique set of brain waves. In neuroscience, there are five distinct brain wave frequencies, namely Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and the lesser known Gamma. Learning mind control at the deeper states of consciousness opens you up to the world of your subconscious mind where you can create your reality at will and with exact precision. Each frequency, measured in cycles per second (Hz), has its own set of characteristics representing a specific level of brain activity and hence a unique state of consciousness.

the red kitchen: The Leather Cuff tutorial Hello and welcome all you boy-lovers! While I don't have any little boys of my own to play with yet, I do have a husband and brothers and brothers-in-law to make things for. And--truth be told--I think the boys in our lives that are over the age of twelve are the ones who are really the hardest to take care of when it comes to all things handmade. Such was the case for me a few months ago.

treasure hunting: keys I’m so very excited to introduce Treasure Hunting, a new monthly column for DIY Wednesdays. If you’re like me, you can often be found browsing the aisles of thrift shops, scouring the tables at flea markets or haggling over prices at yard sales. Sometimes you inherit a random item unexpectedly, or perhaps you walk past give-away piles on the street and feel an involuntary cringe over the wasted possibilities. This column stems from those experiences and from a love of objects and their formal properties. I’m not advocating aggressive hoarding habits by any means, but there are some seemingly mundane, disposable, obsolete objects in the world that are not entirely without merit. Treasure Hunting will take these objects and find a way to make them wonderful again, through their visual impact as a collection or their value as a new and improved functional or decorative item.

A l'ombre du marronnier I don't care for what Facebook does to my sanity, my time or my image. Before I dive into explaining all that, please don't take this personally if you're someone that enjoys Facebook. These are simply my ideas and experiences with the site. I don't aim to be a know it all on the subject. I simply am sharing my thoughts because I don't want those of you that have seen me pop in there to wonder what happened. [our table runner was made by the very talented Heather Moore - love it! DIY Steampunk Box, Tim Holtz Style I was in the need of a small wooden box, so, of course, I asked SweetiePie if he’d make one for me. He gave me that look–you know that look, the one says ‘yes, but must I?’–so I decided to look for an unfinished one at the craft store.
