Where To Get Ideas For Songs. 18 Digital Tools and Strategies That Support Students’ Reading and Writing. Teachers in Littleton, Colorado — like teachers in many places — are increasingly asking students to read and write online.
Free tools like Google Docs have made it easy for students to work on the same piece of writing at home and at school, and have allowed teachers to explore collaborative writing assignments and synchronous editing with students. There are also many digital tools that can support students as they learn how to read deeply, take well-cited notes, and navigate the writing process. While many teachers are finding efficiency in allowing students to write and submit assignments online, not all students or teachers want to use the exact same set of tools. That’s why Littleton’s Instructional Technology Specialist, Dana Levesque, started compiling resources on a site that both teachers and students can access to find the tools that fit their needs.
“Kids have different learning styles,” Levesque said. “At that point I wanted to know her thinking,” Broyles said. Reading Age 9 - 11 Years - TheBookBox. Adjective Song from Grammaropolis - "Paint the Way". Visual Dictionary, Visual Thesaurus.

Specialised help for children with dyslexia pays dividends. Published: 6:07AM Saturday August 16, 2014 Source: ONE News Compelling research shows learning outcomes for children with dyslexia can be vastly improved.
Specialised, early intervention can significantly boost success at school for a child with dyslexia, a pilot study shows. One-on-one, personalised tuition resulted in vast and surprising improvements in achievement skills, Karen Waldie, Associate Professor of the School of Psychology at Auckland University, says. SPELD NZ, in collaboration with school RTLBs (Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour), carried out the study involving 42 seven-year-old students struggling in the classroom as a result of dyslexia. Ms Waldie says she was taken by surprise and "truly impressed" by the resulting data.

Boston-based software developer Spritz has been in “stealth mode” for three years, tinkering with their program and leasing it out to different ebooks, apps, and other platforms. Now, Spritz is about to go public with Samsung’s new line of wearable technology. Other apps have offered up similar types of rapid serial visual presentation to enhance reading speed and convenience on mobile devices in the past. However, what Spritz does differently (and brilliantly) is manipulate the format of the words to more appropriately line them up with the eye’s natural motion of reading. The “Optimal Recognition Point” (ORP) is slightly left of the center of each word, and is the precise point at which our brain deciphers each jumble of letters. The unique aspect of Spritz is that it identifies the ORP of each word, makes that letter red and presents all of the ORPs at the same space on the screen.
