South East Economic Development. SEED Options Programme - Armagh Business Centre. SEED (NMEA) South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) is a grouping of Councils, which have been working together since the 1990’s to promote and grow Economic Development within the wider south-eastern area of NI.

SEED (NMEA)

The member councils of SEED are: Armagh; Ards; Banbridge; Craigavon; Down; Newry and Mourne; and North Down. Focused primarily on taking forward their latest strategy (Copy of the SEED Strategy can be downloaded from the Publications section) the 7 South Eastern Councils are working in co-operation to develop and deliver interregional economic development initiatives focusing on areas of targeted need within the region. The rationale behind a regional approach to economic development in the Southern Region is centred on the premise that a significant amount of overlap, which may exist between locally based economic development initiatives in each of the partner Councils can be avoided. A number of common areas of activity have been identified by the participating Councils. SEED 'Options' Entrepreneurship Programme at Armagh Business Centre.
