I decided it would be fun to design a quilt based around my love of pink, with my happy clouds on the back. There are about a million different shades of pink. But, I used the Kona solids card to pick out my favs. It was hard narrowing it down, but somehow I managed. Ann Kelle. The quilt features my Remix prints and Kona solids. After I designed the block, Teresa Coates was a HUGE help in making it a reality. As always, picking out all the prints and colors was so fun! I was itching to work something up with them. We had just released Anna Maria’s Flying Gosling quilt where she teaches her no fuss flying geese blocks which sparked an idea. I love to sew quilts but cutting out tons of fabric for blocks is less than inspiring to me. Anna Maria’s formula for flying geese blocks calls for one large and two small squares of fabric. I decided to make a mini quilt and use the 5″ x 5″ precuts from the charm packs for the large blocks. DIY Home Sweet Home. Dream Quilt Create. In this quilt, I am using soft pastel colors, as it is going to be a baby quilt. I also incorporated a lot of white- by alternating each colored stripe with a white strip. The first step is to select your fabrics. There is such a wide variety of fabric choices these days, it is very easy to get overwhelmed by the selection. Fiskars.
