Diy wednesdays: wine bottle candle holder. Regardless of how crazy our lives get, we always need to spend time with friends and family. we’ve recently started hosting a regular sunday dinner at our apartment, where we invite a couple friends over to hang out, catch up and eat some homecooked food. all these guests mean a lot of empty wine bottles. but instead of recycling them, we decided to recycle a project we posted last year. using the same technique we showed you to make the bud vase trio, we simply cut these bottles at different heights to create a bunch of new vases, and some great new candle holders. and there it is. an entire tablescape for next sundays dinner. click here for the full project instructions, or just click “read more” below. have fun!

DIY Tuesdays: Vintage hearts ring bowl Ruffled

This project will require many strands of old faux pearl necklaces, but you can find them at thrift shops or flea markets for a few bucks. I added instructions on how to adapt this project to make a ring bowl as well so I don’t leave you in the dark wondering how to! What you’ll need: 3 wooden hearts (can be found at Michaels or Joann’s)craft paint (mod podge may work as well)strands of old faux pearl necklacesMartha’s Glitter Gluea drill or small nails and a hammer (to poke a hole to turn into a ring bowl) Antiquing Glaze (to give the wooden hearts an aged look) Step 1: To make a ring bowl from this project, I would first drill (or hammer) to small holes at the top of the heart.

Step 2: paint the back of the wooden heart. Step 3: once the back of the wooden heart is dry, apply a think coat of glue on the main part of the wooden heart. Destination Weddings. Eunice, meanwhile, reluctantly agreed to try three months of online dating at the urging of her sister. Her self-imposed deadline quickly arrived, and she was poised to log out of the site forever when Daniel James came a-courting. A year and a half later, Daniel proposed. On May 9, 2009, friends and family assembled at Wilbur Hot Springs, a solar-powered, off-the-grid hotel about two hours north of Napa for a carnival-like weekend wedding. Here, lush centerpieces by Sharla Flock Designs set peonies, garden roses, jasmine vine, lilacs, dusty miller foliage, anemones, foxglove, and metallic leaves in trophies and vintage vessels.
