How to Make Your Own 3D Glasses: 11 steps (with pictures)

DIY Fashion: Build your arm party : How to make 5 bracelets in 10 minutes

Today I would like to show you 5 different techniques to make some nice and easy bracelets . I wanted new bracelets and a lot of them so I made these very quickly. The best thing about these bracelets is that if you're crafty you'll make them for free because they can be made with what you have in your stash:left-over pieces from other DIY projects , little pieces of ropes, some yarn and so on. These bracelets are quick to make and you can have fun making them in every color! Let's start! Yarn bracelet : I made a tiny loop with the rope, blocked with thread and needle and then I just wrapped the colored yarn around. http://matterofstyle.blogspot.com/2012/05/build-your-arm-party-how-to-make-5.html

Recycle dead UMBRELLAS into great BAGS of all kinds

Obviously, you first need a broken umbrella that is beyond fixing. These are very easily come by, especially in city centres in wet windy weather. In one week I gathered over 30 umbrellas on the 2 minute walk from my home to the station and the 10 minute walk from the station to my office in the city centre. I just helped myself to the umbrellas jammed into the public waste bins. Here in Glasgow the small, telescopic umbrellas are popular and the majority of that type are black.

How to make yarn from fabric scraps

I've been making bra patterns lately and I've noticed something. When you think about it, it's totally obvious, but it took me a while to wrap my head around it. When making a bra pattern, you think of the breast as (roughly) a hemisphere — or rather an off-center ellipsoid — whatever, you get the idea.
If you've been lucky enough to hunt down one of those pesky little abandoned umbrella spiders with your bare hands, you could as well spin it into yarn! Or not? After a little fight, I managed to skin the little bastard and throw its mortal remains into the washing machine.
