Hello my blog friends! I'm so pumped to share a project I finished today! It's simple, cheap, quick, and fall-y (yes, that is a word). Anyway... I've been diligently collecting these for what seems like forever: Why? [Side note: please pin from the original source so the credit goes to the right person! But I also love projects involving trees/branches like these: Then, I saw this yesterday and even though it's not made from toilet paper rolls, I thought, hmm.... color behind the toilet paper rolls? So basically... What you need: 1. 3. How to do it: 1. 2. 3. 4. 4. 5. 6. It's so.. fall. And I love that I used things I already had in my craft stuff and I recycled toilet paper rolls! Would it be bad to keep it up all year? Update: here are some more pictures that I took in better lighting! Looking for more toilet paper projects?

Make a gift bow from a magazine page In gift wrap emergencies when you've got the present but need some wrapping, here's an idea for turning a magazine page into a bow. There may be better ways to stick this thing together, but I used what I had on hand: staples and adhesive glue dots. Double stick tape or brads should work, too. Cut a magazine page lengthwise into 9 strips, 3/4" wide. Make your own jellyfish in a bottle. ~ Note for Thai fans ~ เป็นโพสเก่าที่มีแฟนบล๊อกจากต่างประเทศขอมาให้เขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษนะคะส่วนแฟนบล็อกที่ยังไม่เคยอ่านเรื่องนี้เลย ฉบับภาษาไทยดูที่นี่ค่ะ The other day, while I was thinking to get something to put in the water bottle for Bhoom to shake for fun. I saw a plastic grocery bag next to me and then this idea popped up. I think.. well, give it a try. With some trials and errors, my little jellyfish comes alive just like I thought it would be. : ) When daddy and son first saw it, they’re surprised with their jaws wide open.

Wall decoration from thrift shop Thrift Shop Hot! What to look for right now.... In my last post I shared some tips for shopping thrift shops. Now I'm going to share with you some items commonly found at thrift shops that are great for upcycling into swanky home decor and crafts. These items are great because not only are they inexpensive, but they are very much in style as current home decor. Check it out!

What to do With a Blank Canvas This: I love a blank canvas. It's just full of so many possibilities! For this one, I just modgepodged some pages I ripped out of a thrifted book to the canvas. Book Cover from a Vintage Painting DIY Jun 14 Here is a project I put together where you can make a journal or sketchbook out of a thrift store painting. It is a really simple process and gives a big payoff–a really special journal or sketchbook. It’s one of those projects that the first time will take you 25 minutes and then every time after will take about 10 minutes. Tinted Mason Jars in Rainbow I love using mason jars for decorating and a seemingly endless supply of craft projects. But rainbow tinted mason jars, just like the vintage ones you can never find anymore? This one might be my favorite project with mason jars yet!

Tissue Paper & Paper Flowers Tutorial I debated sharing this tutorial for a couple-o-reasons. Reason 1. It's a craft that has been around since before I was born and reason 2... it's a craft that has been around since before I was born. I feel like I might be a 100 years old at this point. My crows feet asked for slippers the other day cause they were getting cold. Ultimate Guide to Recycled T-Shirt Crafts" You probably have a favorite T-shirt. You know the one you've worn until it's holey and ragged. Maybe it's from your first concert or your favorite vacation spot. Maybe it's your team's old logo, or a college favorite from decades ago. Either way, you can't bear to part with it.

DIY Felted Wool "Billy Buttons" UPDATE: Click here for a new post with troubleshooting tips. In case you didn't catch my guest post on Young & Crafty, here it is! While making felted wool beads for my DIY'd necklace, the yellow wool beads I was felting started to really look like stylized Yellow Craspedia (small, spherical flowers also known as “Billy Buttons” or “Woollyheads”). Inspired, I made some extra felted wool beads, pierced them with cloth covered floral wire and made an arrangement in an inexpensive West Elm vase.

Book Frame with Collage Art - Cosmo Cricket Maybe it's because I am a romantic when it comes to sappy, inspirational, and somewhat cheesy quotes, but I love framed messages. I think this one is especially sweet being framed in an old book. "Your life is a story, make it good." This book's cover was titled Don Juan, and although I briefly thought about making a scrapbook with stories of my old flames titled The Don Juans of My Life, I re-thought that when I saw Kate reading one of my past journals.
