Artist Transforms Stuffy Old Lace Into Fantastic Street Art (Photos) Photos: NeSpoon (via Behance) If you associate hoodie-concealed men sporting spray cans with street art, think again. Think crocheted bicycles, yarn bombing and random acts of planting. An Eco-Friendly Apartment in New York City A New York City family of five outgrew their Chelsea loft and instead of moving decided to purchase the identical apartment above theirs and merge the two. The owners brought in Design Development NYC to oversee the construction of the eco-friendly renovation and they incorporated a number of health-conscious systems and sustainable materials and with the help of architecture studio wUNDERground and Damon Liss Design handling the interiors, the family got the healthy urban home they desired. Both apartments were gutted and the work began to reconfigure the 3,600 square feet of space. The bottom floor was transformed into the public living spaces, including a large eat-in kitchen, a playroom, and a living/dining room. The upstairs features a study, laundry room, three children’s bedrooms, and a master suite.

Tutorial: Easy Tiny Envelopes Guest tutorial by Ruth Bleakley I discovered this envelope making method completely by accident when pulling soggy rain-soaked mail out of my leaky mailbox - I had a total *eureka* moment when the envelope I gingerly opened up completely unfolded at the seams revealing an envelope "template" perfectly. I've seen many envelope tutorials online, some offer downloadable templates, some show fancy paper folding techniques and some suggest specific measurements to create your own D.I.Y. envelopes. I'm going to show you how to replicate any interesting envelope that you might already have, no measuring involved! Click below for the how-to:

Fun Forever - Luxury fun is affordable for everyone! & Lounge Seat Washing Machine Delhi-based designer Harsha Vardhan designed this washing machine/comfy seat of the future. Not only is it multipurpose it’s also environmentally friendly because it doesn’t use water or detergent. The machine uses ionized air to clean the clothes. Unfortunately this is still a concept I hope that alternative clothes cleaners will soon be available. Lounge Seat Washing Machine
