Bauhaus Design and Designers - authentic by Technolumen Bauhaus design was the main focus of TECNOLUMEN® from the very beginning. The first item produced by TECNOLUMEN ® was the Wilhelm Wagenfeld table lamp, also known as "the Bauhaus lamp". Other design objects from the Bauhaus metal workshop (Metall-Werkstatt ) were added. Index - TUNTO Tunto develops and produces innovative new lighting concepts that combine the latest technology with wooden materials. Modern Lighting: Flos, Estiluz, Foscarini, Vibia, Leklint Lighting - Contemporary Table, Floor and Pendant Lights YLighting carries a full range of contemporary and modern lighting brands, including the most respected designers from Europe (primarily Italy and Spain) and the United States. We are specialists in mid-century modern lighting classics, such as the Arco floor lamp, Le Klints and George Nelson Bubble Lamps, as well as in ultra-contemporary lighting standouts, including those that make use of space-age materials, such as the Foscarini Mite and Tite series crafted of Kevlar, and the Miss K lamp from Flos with its unique aluminized polycarbonate shade. If you have any questions, drop us an e-mail or give one of our friendly and knowledgeable associates a call. A lot of folks ask us what we mean by "contemporary lighting" since that term is thrown around loosely in some circles. In short, if you are looking for a flowery or vintage lamp or light fixture, YLighting is not the place for you.

V Houses at Verana There are many ways to build employee quarters, temporary housing for those who decide to come work for a season at Verana. This summer we decided to build some additional housing and the images here show you what we came up with. V-houses at V-erana. An experiment which turned out to be exciting to design, to build and after all to live in. The idea to build those ‘outlooks’ came from Jo Scheer who had build his ‘hoochs’ in Puerto Rico and Oregon.

MULTI PENDANT Manufacturer Decorative lighting Niche Modern Niche Modern collections Collection MULTI PENDANT Flexible Order modular furniture system challenges Dutch conformity Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Fabricia Chang has created a series of pastel-coloured metal frames that bolt together into modular furniture pieces. Taipei designer Fabricia Chang's Flexible Order project contains a series of forms assembled from welded stainless-steel square tubes that can be combined in different configurations. Holes along the sides of a set of different-sized frames correspond so the rectangular pieces can be bolted together and stand independently. To adapt the frames for different uses, wooden boards and hooks can be added to the steel sections, which are available in shades of pastel blue. "[Flexible Order] enables users to create their own order within a given order," said the designer.

The 360 House in Madrid by Subarquitectura Loopy Home This stunning architectural piece called the 360 House in Madrid, Spain eschews standard conformity by looping in on itself. The roof is at once protective and accessible as a walkway. Of course this means that almost no wall inside is flat but I suspect interior designers are up for a new challenge nowadays. Congrats to Andrés Silanes, Fernando Valderrama and Carlos Bañón.

Patricia Urquiola, Angus Fiori · Room Mate Giulia Hotel. Milan Courtesy of Room Mate Hotels The hotel is located in the heart of Milan, a few steps from Piazza del Duomo and the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, features 85 rooms divided into 5 categories (standard, superior, deluxe, junior suite and penthouse with terrace). The hotel lobby floor is made of pink marble, the same used in the Duomo of Milan, following the line of the latest projects of the architect.
