Manifesto for the Content Curator Every hour thousands of new videos are uploaded online. Blog posts are written and published. Millions of tweets and other short messages are shared. To say there is a flood of content being created online now seems like a serious understatement. Visuals for Foreign Language Instruction The illustrations were created as part of the Visuals for Developing Communication Skills in Foreign Language Classes project, initated by Paul Toth, former Director of the Less-Commonly-Taught Languages Center. It was funded by the Provost through the Advisory Council on Instructional Excellence (ACIE) as part of the Innovation in Education Awards program, and brought to completion by Paul's successors, Dawn McCormick and David Quinto-Pozos. All of the illustrations were drawn by Alec Sarkas from the Center for Instructional Development & Distance Education (CIDDE).

MentorMob: a VIP Version of your Internet MentorMob is a free site that allows you to browse content to use for lessons or professional development. You simply view playlists (a bunch of files/sites put together into one strand) or create your own playlists. At first, I just used the browse feature to see what other people were creating. Then, I began to grow more confident thinking I could develop my own playlist.

In point of fact, 58% of Americans play video games, 45% of gamers are women, and 58% of parents play video games with their kids as a way to socialize with them (2).
