The Dudes Sweater In 1998, following the critical and commercial success of their film Fargo, The Coen brothers released The Big Lebowski. Unfortunately, this film wasn't as well received as its predecessor by critics or audiences. But at some point, the cult following of Jeffrey Lebowski (AKA: "The Dude") exploded, and the film became one of the most quoted comedy films of all time. If you're looking at our collection of Big Lebowski t-shirts, you're likely aware of all of the movie's quirky characters and quotes.
Sixty Years Of Memories For my dad's 60th birthday last week, I wanted to do something really fun. My dad and I talk a lot about the past---nostalgia runs in our blood, I think---and we both love to reminisce. Inspired by Jordan Ferney's Postcard Birthday Poster, I started batting around an idea: what if I could get everyone from my dad's past to contribute a memory they had of him? What if I had all those people send their memories to me, and then I put each one into an envelope---sixty total, of course---and had him open them, one by one, on his birthday? Geneva Sound Systems – WorldRadio The Geneva WorldRadio is a contemporary take on the classic world receiver: a radio that could receive all available radio stations of their time, using broadcasting technologies such as FM, longwave, and shortwave. Today, popular local radio stations are mainly broadcast over FM and digital radio, while international and special interest stations are broadcast over the Internet. The new Geneva WorldRadio provides complete access to today’s radio stations, as the classic world receiver did for previous generations. Connect the Geneva WorldRadio using the built-in wireless Bluetooth receiver with an Internet-capable device, such as a smartphone or tablet, and you can stream all available Internet stations. The Geneva WorldRadio features a high-performance audio system that plays mid and high frequencies with absolute accuracy, and produces warm, rich bass below 80Hz.
Postcard Birthday Poster DIY May 26 This project is part of a campaign I’m doing with Yahoo! Mail on different ways to keep in touch with family and friends. I had wanted to recreate an easier version of this big project I did for Aubrey last year and this seemed like the perfect time. I contacted the artist, Shanna Murray, to help me come up with artwork for a poster that everyone could download. You Can Now Buy A Mini-Airstream Trailer For $35K Airstream, the company behind the iconic "silver bullet" trailer, has just released a new lightweight trailer model called Basecamp. Small and sleek, it's perfect for towing behind a small SUV. And at $35,000, it's a lot more affordable than the classic Airstream. It's like a tiny house on two wheels. Basecamp is just over 16 feet long and weighs 3,000 pounds. Contrast that with the company's classic trailer, which is more than 31 feet, weighs 7,300 pounds, and starts around $135,000.

If children’s drawings were made into toys… Email There is a studio which creates soft toys based on children’s drawings that their parents send in. Once completed, parents can buy these toys for their children, which I think is a very interesting concept and business model. But what is more interesting is seeing these weird creatures that come “alive” as toys. Faces on Strainers Plain strainer you say? Look closely ... Spanish artist Isaac Cordal sculpted faces onto metal cooking strainers, which cast beautiful shadows. It's That Thing Where...: 26 Words You Really Wish Existed in English It’s true, English has given the world untold verbal riches, but even Shakespeare would have struggled to articulate the idea "someone with a face that needs to be slapped" with a single, elegant word. So London-based Irish illustrator Fuchsia Macaree re-imagines the alphabet, showing logophiles words they never knew they needed. "Untranslatable" goes A to Z with words that are just that from a medley of languages--and it’s truly a wonder we’ve been able to get by without these gems in English.
