Date Updated:: Mathsurf version 2.0 Mathsurf is a scripted plug-in for 3ds Max to create and explore mathematical surfaces and geometries in form of the standard editable mesh. This plug-in works as an extra create tool in category of geometries along with the parameters which can be used in animation to morphing the surface. This package includes over 60 predefined surfaces and ready to use.MathSurf will expand the mathematical functions embedded in max-script and make you able to create differential geometries such as Minimal surfaces. It also provides more efficient and user friendly interface to make your codes and formulas using the common controls and rollouts in 3ds Max interface.
Each unique instance of the will be installed as an aggregation of raw, unsealed ceramic tiles.
video: JellyFish is a new tool that works with Grasshopper and Rhino to enable various ways of modeling with attractive and repulsive forces. It is a generalisation of my popular Magnetic Displacement definition to 3-dimensions, along with some other improvements. Any number of Sources and Sinks of variable strengths can be placed freely in space, and their combined effect can be used to move/orient/create any Rhino geometry based on points (including curves, NURBS surfaces and meshes). The force model used is basically Coulomb’s Law for electrostatics, and a simple vector field integrator is included, so rather than just moving points along the tangent to the field at their start point you can actually move them iteratively through the curving field. This can help avoid particles crossing over each other:

Generate parametric mathematic 3D surfaces from user defined XYZ functions 3DPlot utility creates algorithmic 3D objects CADStudio 3DPlot is an AutoLISP utility for AutoCAD - it generates parametric 3D surfaces (polyline meshes) from mathematic expressions (functions, equations). You can use 3DPlot for educational purposes (math visualization) but also in the design area - e.g. for creation of attractive architectural features, interior design, product design, sconces, for art design, etc. See also 2DPlot for 2D curves.
Performs dynamic relaxation on a network of lines - essentially smooths the network. Optionally the lines can be relaxed over a surface as well. Files for Grasshopper 0.8:
This Grasshopper definition is a translation of a Rhinoscript which was written to tile a surface in Rhino with a hexagonal pattern. User now has the control of the U and V subdivisions of this surface, resulting in the user being able to control the resolution of the tiling pattern. The definition uses relatively few components to achieve this solution thanks to the VB.NET component implemented into this version of Grasshopper. The VB.NET component allows for the subdivision points to be organized and ordered for the creation of the lines on the surface.
