Jackie, Best Teaching Partner Ever (BTPE) and makerspace aficionado, is rather excited about the electronic circuity possibilities and envisages very many lightbulb activities, she is also working on a rotational activity using Scratch and Scratch Jnr to code some exploding fireworks (could we explode books too J?!) And my mum has made several artists books lamps for her library – which I really think she should share with me. Every year for as long as I can remember the Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Network (IDTLN) has written and published their much-adored Book Week book – used by classroom teachers and TL’s throughout Australia, and increasingly, internationally.

We are predicting Paddington Bear will be a popular pick this year with the recent release of the Movie. “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl. Loving this idea as its really easy to do and looks fantastic. If your good with a needle and thread this fun “Jack and the Beanstalk” is a top pick for your child. Sure to be the envy of kids and teachers at the parade! “Mary Poppins” is so adorable and most items would already be in the wardrobe!

Once again, a cute idea for the sewers. If you have an older child this is a winner! The picture says it all, we love this idea! Loving how bright and colourful this costume is, with the little placard and props just topping it off! This cute teacher costume can easily be replicated for kids too!
