Sous Chef Recipe Clipper - Gooey Garlic Cheese Rolls. Sous Chef Recipe Clipper - Parmesan Oven Fries. Jalapeño Popper Quiche. Jalapeño poppers have to be one of my favourite snacks and I am pretty addicted to them.

Jalapeño Popper Quiche

Recently I have been experimenting with using the signature jalapeño popper flavours in other dishes with great success. Not too long ago I tried a jalapeño popper dip that was even more addictive than the original and the jalapeño popper grilled cheese sandwich quickly made its way to the top of my list no too long after. When I came across the idea of a jalapeño quiche on Hilah Cooking it immediately reminded me of the flavours of jalapeño poppers. This quiche starts out with a layer of cream cheese that is topped with fresh jalapeño peppers, a creamy egg mixture and finally a layer of melted cheddar cheese. The whole thing is baked in an all butter crust that gets nice and crispy by the time it is done. This quiche is pretty easy to make, though making your own pie crust can be a bit tricky.

Serves Cook Time. Grilled Pineapple Salsa. Whenever I make tacos, I try to include at least one salsa in the condiments and I often like to experiment with different kinds of salsas.

Grilled Pineapple Salsa

For the last few weeks I have had this idea for some pork tacos in my head and I was thinking that a sweet and tangy pineapple salsa would be a great choice as it would help cut through the fatty pork. Despite the fact that grilling season is over I was dead set on grilling the pineapple for the salsa to as grilling it would caramelize it and bring out even more of its natural sweetness. Luckily, my trusty grill pan came to the rescue and I was able to defy the dark and gloomy weather that we have been having lately. After the grilled pineapple I kept the salsa fairly simple going with the pretty standard jalapeno peppers for heat, onions for bite, and cilantro and lime juice for extra freshness. Creamed Corn with Roasted Red Peppers and Bacon. I am always on the lookout for tasty new side dish recipes to add to my box so when I came across the idea of creamed corn, think creamed spinach except with corn, on Picky Palate I just had to try it.

Untitled. Crispy Baked Onion Rings. Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes topped with Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms. Although the herb roasted turkey breast was the center piece of my Thanksgiving meal, this side dish was what I was looking forward to.

Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes topped with Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms

You just can't go wrong with creamy mashed potatoes and I had been dreaming about these mashed potatoes for a while now. I don't make mashed potatoes all that often because I tend to inhale them a little too quickly but this was a special occasion so it was alright. Adding cheese to mashed potatoes is a sure fire way to add a ton of flavour and this time I wanted to try using a creamy blue cheese to give them a nice tanginess.

Blue cheese also goes well with sautéed mushrooms and sweet caramelized onions and the plan was to top those fluffy white cloud like mashed potatoes with them. This mashed potato dish is pretty straight forward to make but because of all of the slicing, chopping, sautéing, boiling and mashing they take a bit of time and effort but they are well worth it!
