Top Twitter Analytics Tools

With hundreds of add-on tools, Twitter certainly has plenty of ways you can analyze its data. I set out to find the best tools that I would recommend for you to track and compare your own Tweets, as well as examine the growth of followers and when you actually send out your 140-character missives. My two faves are TweetStats and Twittercounter. As you are resting from your Thanksgiving feast, you might want to try them out, along with several others that I will show you. There are other tools that involve "sentiment analysis," being able to examine what people are Tweeting about or the attitude they are expressing in their tweets. http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/top_twitter_analytics_tools.php

http://www.fluency21.com/blogpost.cfm?blogID=2324 If I had thirty iPads in my class, what would I do with them? How would I use them to help my students learn better and help me teach better? Perhaps a better question is what would I do with them that I could not do with other tools that are available and cheaper? Certainly iPads are cheaper than computers, desktop or laptop, and they are more mobile.

Teaching and Learning: Using iPads in the Classroom| The Committed Sardine

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/history-maps-of-world/id303282377?mt=8 Beautiful historic maps now ruined by large obnoxious banner ads across the bottom of the maps. Tried to find a way to buy out of the ads, but there wasn't any way. Deleted. I too will not use this with ads, and unfortunately for the developer it's not worth 99 cents either as it is right now. As much as I love old maps, there's just not a lot here to make it a compelling app.

My good friend of nearly two decades and workmate at Yahoo!, Robert, asked me about doing a project to generate and animate 18 piece burr puzzles . This is a cool extension of a project we started in the mid ’90s in a dimly lit student apartment at the University of Oklahoma (the now-bulldozed Parkview, for those who might care). The idea is to animate the puzzles using Flash . I’ve been toying with the idea of learning Flash for a long time, and now I have an excuse. Flash is a vector graphics platform, and its programming language is ActionScript , which itself is an extension of ECMAScript . http://www.cactusflower.org/learning-flash-with-haxe

Apple Presents a New iPad Gesturing-Based Video Editing Toolbar - Patently Apple

http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2011/10/apple-presents-a-new-ipad-gesturing-based-video-editing-toolbar.html Apple Presents a Robust Gesturing-based Video Editing Toolbar for iPad According to Apple's new patent documentation, a user will be able to perform gestures on a future version of an iPad display that will directly or indirectly manipulate, control, modify, move, actuate, initiate or generally affect graphical elements such as cursors, icons, media files, lists, text, all or portions of images, or the like within the GUI. Gestures, in general, could take many forms. For example, a gesture could take the form of a geometric pattern (e.g., half-circle, circle, square, triangle, etc.), a symbol (e.g., check mark, question mark, simple arrow with any shaped terminator, caret, etc.), letters, predetermined patterns, user programmed patterns, and combinations thereof.

Arno Klarsfeld, dans la région aujourd'hui : « Les Roms sont aussi victimes d'eux-mêmes, responsables... » - Actualité Région - La Voix du Nord

We do it for free because we think that if people can see what's going on, it makes the country better. Google is on a buying spree. In its 10-Q filing yesterday, Google revealed that it has spent more than $1.4 billion to make 57 acquisitions and "purchases of intangible assets" in the first nine months of this year. That's an average of more than six acquisitions per month, or more than one every week. And that doesn't even include the proposed buys of Motorola ($12.5 billion) and AdMeld ($400 million), which are still waiting for government approval. Of those 57 acquisitions, only ITA, Zagat , and Daily Deals were big enough to warrant mention by name. The remaining 54 are "not material" so Google doesn't have to disclose them in its financial statements.
