As a commemoration of sorts, I decided to make this list with 50 Visual Novels that you should definitely read. The VNs featured here will have a very small description which doesn't really makes them justice- it's just so that you can have a small understanding of their main themes. I'll post the game synopsis whenever possible.
Note that about 40 of the VNs I read are untranslated, and those aren't going to enter this list. So even if it has a great story, like Abyss, if it's not translated it's not going to enter. I also excluded visual novels with gameplay- Sengoku Rance, Daibanchou, Kamidori Alchemy Meister, etc. This list also won't feature the VNs in order of "how good they are".
