Surrounded by mature trees, the gym (or sport pavilion), has an outdoor area with a pool and sun deck. The stairs that separate the pool from the gym have built-in decorative planter boxes and hidden lighting means the space can be used at night. Another feature that’s been included in the covered outdoor area is a decorative screen that has an artistic leaf pattern that lights up. Inside the gym there are three floors, the main floor (seen below) is home to cardio-vascular equipment, the basement is full of boxing equipment and locker rooms, and the upper floor is a light-filled a yoga studio.

Here’s a look at the boxing gym where custom-designed backlit mirrors are shaped like figures of famous boxers and colorful lighting helps to keep the space vibrant. The existing house did not have a usable top floor, so YAMAMAR Design Architects added a third story, freeing up the main floor for open plan living, dining and entertaining. There’s also an in-law unit tucked away above the garage. YAMAMAR Design Architects worked together with landscape design firm Terremoto, to design the backyard. The contemporary houseboat is almost completed, but has purposely been left unfinished, so the new owners can complete it to their own taste. The houseboat’s description This impressive floating home, which has over 3,000 sq ft of internal accommodation, was designed by MAA Architects and can be found on the sought-after Taggs Island, close to Hampton Court Palace.

The houseboat comes with a rare freehold mooring (125 ft river frontage) and beautiful landscaped gardens of approximately half an acre as well as a garage and summerhouse. Accommodation is arranged over two floors. To the right of the hall is a kitchen / dining space (with glazed doors that lead out onto a deck), a utility room and a WC/shower room.

After that we have been working on its realization avoiding bringing any changes into its original planning and design. The owner of the apartment requested to create cozy open space for herself and for hosting guests. The designer’s description The stunning natural backdrop of Lake Eildon and its surrounds was our inspiration for this unique project. Natural, textured and sustainable materials were balanced with the reflective properties of the water to create calm and light-filled areas.
