Rock Paper Scissors Spock Lizard
I invented this game (with Karen Bryla) because it seems like when you know someone well enough, 75-80% of any Rock-Paper-Scissors games you play with that person end up in a tie. Well, here is a slight variation that reduces that probability. (Note that for those of you who like to swing your fist back and forth and say, "Rock, Paper, Scissors, GO!", might want to continue to do that, replacing "Rock" with "One," "Paper" with "Two," and "Scissors" with "Three.") This version is also nice because it satisfies the Law of Fives. Notes from Sam:

9/25/05: After receiving 100+ letters in the past two weeks (mostly) raving about RPS-15 and including lots of ideas for more gestures, and also with so many requests to incorporate gestures from other popular bastardizations of RPS, I elected to cap this whole nightmarishly ridiculous endeavor with an Earth-swallowing 25-gesture game. This is so cool. Art and design people Dorothy have come up with Songmap , a litho print of an imaginary streetmap made up of song titles. Highway To Hell stretches past Itchycoo Park, Heartbreak Hotel can be found on Alphabet Street and take a left off Penny Lane to find 22 Acacia Avenue.
