Multi-View Environment - TU Darmstadt

It features Structure-from-Motion, Multi-View Stereo and Surface Reconstruction. The individual steps of the pipeline are available as command line applications, but most features are also available from our user interface UMVE. The project is developed at TU-Darmstadt by Michael Goesele's research group. MVE is written in C++ and comes with a set of efficient, cross-platform and easy-to-use libraries. If you use our system and want to mention MVE in your publications, please cite the following paper: MVE - A Multi-View Reconstruction Environment [Paper, 10MB] [Bibtex] Simon Fuhrmann, Fabian Langguth and Michael Goesele In: Proceedings of the Eurographics Workshop on Graphics and Cultural Heritage, Darmstadt, Germany, 2014. Beeler, B. Bickel, P. Beardsley, R. Sumner, M. Proceedings of ACM SIGGRAPH (Los Angeles, USA, July 25-29, 2010), ACM Transactions on Graphics, vol. 29, no. 3, pp. 40:1-40:9 [Abstract] [BibTeX] [PDF] [Video] Abstract This paper describes a passive stereo system for capturing the 3D geometry of a face in a single-shot under standard light sources. [Download Video] [Download BibTeX] We provide a sample dataset for research purposes. What the archive contains The archive contains the captured image data, calibrated cameras as well as the reconstructed mesh. Cameras cam1.cam cam2.cam ...

Cameras The camera format is our own. Obtaining the data The human face is very personal and we decided thus not to publish the data online. Inappropriate use Please remember that faces are of very personal nature. Commercial use Please contact dbeeler at infdot ethz dot ch if you are interested in using the data and/or the system/algorithms commercially. Insight3d - opensource image based 3d modeling software. Disclaimer: The book has been sent to me for free by its editors, so judge by yourself if there is a conflict of interest! I’ve been working with OpenSceneGraph for four years between 2001 and 2005, building a VR engine and two VR simulators on top of it for the french railways and I would have loved to have a beginner’s guide back then. I had worked with Performer, OSG’s commercial ancestor by Silicon Graphics, which gave me a good start (because it had a documentation You could only get information from the source code or the mailing list, sometimes from sparse documents on their website, but the learning curve was steep.

Now there are two other books about OpenSceneGraph, thanks to the community of users (“Because life is too short to read the source” Introduction Conclusion.
