Maxime Quolin- Avantgarde. "Avantgarde is some kind of milestone project, because I wanted it to be a symbol of me taking a step forward as a graphic designer and as an artist. I tried to apply a very specific mood with the composition and the colours. In some way the artworks can be related as the relationship between nature and humanity, but I didn't want to have a very specific message in artworks, so people can interpret it their way. Therefore I think that's the closest thing to "art" that I've ever done. Technically, I didn't use very specific techniques, I just tried a lot of different things, removed the failure and kept the good stuff.

Illustrators. Drawing Board - The New Hive. For a while, as a kid I was fascinated by sign language and spent hours learning it with a friend. To us, it was a secret language only we could understand. I think my best illustrations always have a element of the unpredictable about them, a serendipitous input. Something that wouldn’t normally be associated with the subject. While roughing out my thoughts on the Revolution illustration I’d photographed my own hand (in the traditional fist of defiance pose) for reference. As I sketched away my mind flashed back to the bookmark I’d used to learn sign language as a kid. It had had the full alphabet in a grid pattern, each hand position had a small black and white line art illustration with the letter underneath. I quickly found reference for the Sign Language Alphabet online and played around with a grid pattern. Phil McAndrew Illustrations & Comics. DEAD-WALTER. Blogs de ilustración. Tylerwintermute.com.

We are really looking forward to ushering in the Spring season with an incredible three person show, opening on Saturday April 5th.
The show will feature Ciou, Malojo and Dmitri Drjuchin, all three of which have crafted their own distinct (and stunning) universes, chock full of strange creatures, cool textures and just the right hints of darkness. In addition to showing entirely new works from each artist, we will also have some awesome extras for those who make it out to the opening! But first, a bit about the artists... "Ciou was born in Toulouse in 1981. She actually works and lives in her home town, after living in Bruxelles and Paris. Suspended between dream and nightmare, her paintings consist of a base made of a collage of old papers, taken from old medical books, dictionaries, and nature manuals, where she uses acrylic and ink; creating her own personal mixed media.
"Malojo born in French city, Bayonne, but now lives and work in Toulouse, like Ciou! Now, onto the goodies! Rawdraw Favorite. Book Cover. Christos Gousidis. Gabriel Moreno. Home : Stina Persson.
