Cinnamon Toast Rolls - Circle B Kitchen - Circle B Kitchen
The USDA released its new food pyramid the other day (which is actually a plate now instead of a pyramid), and I am sorely disappointed to report that cinnamon rolls did not appear anywhere on that plate. I think by now most of us know what should be on our dinner plate in terms of healthy, well-rounded nutrient-laden meals, but it is my considered opinion that our breakfast plate should include cinnamon rolls now and then. And not just any cinnamon roll, mind you, but how ‘bout a homemade cinnamon roll hybrid that is a cross between a cinnamon roll and cinnamon toast, is super easy to make and gosh darn delicious. Place in a mini muffin tin (or if you’ve folded them, place them on a baking sheet). The Pastry Affair - Home - Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread
I once made the driest pancake in the world. I can see you sitting at home, staring at your computer screen, and scoffing at my bold statement. Driest pancake in the world? Yeah, right. How would you even know?Oh baby. It makes a lot, so be sure and share. My girlfriend said if you go to the fire station with cookies they will let your kid check out the fire truck.

Celebrates National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Month - 10 Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich Creations EVER!
I can say this is the best macaroni and cheese recipe ever because it's not really my recipe. I tweaked it a tiny bit - basically made it even more fattening - but otherwise, it's someone else's. It's from someone named Bev, who posted her recipe on Recipezaar and to whom I am eternally grateful.

On today’s episode of the Food Network show, I have a breakfast theme going on. One of the things I decided to make were these yummy little vanilla scones I made after coming back from a trip to the city a couple of years ago. I wanted to bring the post up to the front today in case you’d like to see the step-by-step again. Yummy!I’ll just say it: I’m not a big fan of nuts on or in my cinnamon rolls or sticky buns. To me, big chunks of nuts are a distraction. A distraction from the pure, unabashed ridiculousness of the gooey, fattening rolls.

Last week I went to a cookbook release party at Border Grill and they had churros…in tot form! I was blown away by their cuteness–had to replicate it stat for you all. I basically made a tweaked and adjusted version of this pate a choux recipe . And then fried small balls of the dough. It was a breeze. Messy, but a breeze.

Sprinkle Bakes: Honeyed Pears in Puff Pastry
Poaching fruit is one of my favorite things to do when cold weather arrives. It's so warming to stand over a boiling pot of fragrant spices and lose yourself in thought. When I made these, I couldn't help but daydream as I stirred; if I were a pear... I wouldn't want to spend my days on the shelf of a cold produce department.Once the vegetable soup has come to a rolling boil, turn down the heat to the lowest setting and stir. Be sure to keep tasting the soup and add sugar and salt to bring flavor to your liking. Cook the soup on low for about thirty minutes.
