NEW YORK (AFP) - US stocks plunged more than two percent as markets opened on Thursday, following a stark warning by the Federal Reserve about the health of the US economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2.6 percent in the first 10 minutes of trade, while the broader S&P 500 was down 2.4 percent and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite slumped 2.3 percent.

The drill, made possible by a FEMA Homeland Security grant, has been dubbed “Operation Mountain Guardian” and will include military personal. Operation Mountain Guardian is a terrorism-based, full-scale emergency exercise scheduled to take place in numerous locations in the Denver metro area on Friday, September 23, 2011. The exercise will involve first responders from 81 different agencies**, will be conducted at ten separate locations and will include loud noises, simulated weapons, smoke, emergency vehicles and other equipment that will be audible and visible throughout the day. The exercise has been designed as a learning event for regional first responders to test their capabilities in a scenario that will involve a terrorist-driven catastrophic situation. Activist Post: Reclaiming Health: BPA Ban Passes California State Senate
On Tuesday, in a major legislative health breakthrough, the California Senate voted to ban bisphenol A ( BPA ) from baby bottles and sippy cups sold within the state. The Toxin-Free Infants and Toddlers Act (AB 1319) will be heading back to the state Assembly later this year for a vote on Senate amendments. While only banning BPA from baby bottles and sippy cups, the passing of this ban is monumental in the fight against BPA contamination. The next step may ultimately be to ban BPA from canned goods, plastic bottles, and perhaps the food supply as a whole.

The Homeland Security Policy Institute recently released a report that amounts to nothing less than propaganda which flies in the face of the hard facts released by our own government .
Bisphenol A ( BPA ) is a known endocrine-disrupting hormone mimicker, present in a large majority of plastic products and even canned goods. But what about plastics that don’t contain BPA? A new study has found that even products that claim to be BPA-free oftentimes still leach endocrine-disrupting chemicals. In fact, the study found that 70% of common plastic products were tested positive for estrogenic activity, and the number skyrocketed to 95% when the products were put through real world conditions such as microwaving or dishwashing. The study shows that even products labeled “BPA-free” still pose a threat to human health, and many contain phthalates, also known as “plasticizers.” Phthalates are a group of industrial chemicals used in the production of plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Innocent faith in the dignity of American leadership might shield the bystander from knowing that, despite successful suicide missions, many of those Arab boys are alive and well . Faith strong enough could also shield them from knowing that a scientific opinion poll taken in October of 2006 by the New York Times/CBS News revealed that 84% of American do not believe the official government explanation of the September 11, 2001 “terror attacks” (apparently, They soon put a damper on any more independent polls).

We have been discussing drones almost ad nauseam as of late, because a dystopian science fiction plot has entered our reality whereby machines have not only supplanted humans on the battlefield, but they have become autonomous -- they can work together and make decisions on their own. If the use of drones to unilaterally bomb six countries from thousands of miles away doesn't get people's attention, then perhaps fleets of weaponized surveillance drones with the ability to communicate amongst themselves and wage war independently will. The MUSIC project officially integrates unmanned and manned aircraft in combat, and was put on display with the largest showcase of "aircraft interoperability" to date: "...all have the capability to shoot and stream live video. These aircraft also possess the ability to exchange and use the information as needed, whether it is to conduct surveillance or reconnaissance of a given area."
Ordinary items in our homes are lurking, waiting to cause injury or damage when disaster strikes. Think about it: anything that can move, fall, break, or cause a fire is a potential hazard. Why take a chance?

The NATO operation has resulted in countless civilian deaths in Libya, yet the head of the European Commission , Jose Manuel Barroso, characterized the mission as a “moral duty”. Is it NATO’s “moral duty” to support non-democratically elected, terrorist-linked rebels to the detriment of the people of Libya, even if it means they will die in the process? If you ask Barroso, then yes, it is definitely NATO’s duty.

Fact is, you cannot appease tyranny. Once people understand that the thirst of tyrants cannot be quenched, then people will begin to realize and appreciate the severity of their circumstance. The United States of America is no longer. We are ruled by the color of law, and peaceful protest is now brutally crushed; two clearly undeniable indicators that America has fallen into the hands of the authoritarians. The Constitution tells us that we have the right to peaceably assemble, yet we are obligated to register for a permit in order to assemble.
