Ordering from Peter White Cycles

The telephone is better than email, since I get overloaded with email and your emailed order may get overlooked. If you do send email, please only send plain text with no attachments in your emails, and keep them brief. Unfortunately, long winded emails must get passed over when we're faced with fifty to read in the morning. We don't have enough time to answer long emails and get work done. If your email is intended for Linda or Sheena or Penny, please include their name in the subject, and I'll just forward it to their account.

If you use the telephone and get our answering machine, please leave a message with just your name and phone number. I can ship just about anywhere in the world if you pay with Visa, Mastercard or Western Union. Finally JNC reported that Fox sells the RP3 sleeve for $35. I couldn't resist. So, I ordered the supplies. The RP3 air sleeve, part number 806-29-041 (you'll need it as noone at Fox seems to know the part number without digging through their parts list for a while), and the FLOAT/RP3 air sleeve rebuild kit, part number 803-00-142. Tire Sizing Systems

Which Size Tire Fits Which Size Rim? Bicycle tires come in a bewildering variety of sizes. To make matters worse, in the early days of cycling, every country that manufactured bicycles developed its own system of marking the sizes. This page covers sizes in common use as of its writing, and a number of older sizes. Traditional Sizing Systems The traditional sizing systems are based on a measurement of the outside diameter of a tire. Unfortunately, evolution of tires and rims has made these measurements lose contact with reality. A second number or letter code would indicate the width of the tire. (26 x 1.75, 27 x 1 1/4...650B, 700C...) Does Point Seven Five Equal Three Quarters? Note that the inch-based designations sometimes express the width in a decimal (26 x 1.75) and sometimes as a common fraction (26 x 1 3/4).

RICHARD SACHS CYCLES

Because technology alone is a poor substitute for experience As a youngster, Richard Sachs could not easily separate his enthusiasm for bicycle racing from the interest he had in the equipment used by the top athletes of the day. With a balance of dedication and perseverance, he pursued his competitive cycling as well as his choice of a framebuilder’s life. His dream of learning to build bicycles that could, one day, rival the machines he so revered led him to spend a year in London as an apprentice to Witcomb Lightweight Cycles.

There he would cultivate the basic skills that have become the foundation of his successful career. More than 4 decades have passed, and Richard continues to zealously combine his racing background with his extensive framebuilding experience—and has gained respect as one of the finest builders of custom bicycles in the world.
