E3H lance Rémora, le premier bateau électrique de servitude : COMMUNIQUÉ DU 10 déc. 09 Après avoir présenté au Nautic 2008 le trimaran nouvelle génération Odonata, la société brestoise E3H a lancé, hier après-midi à 14 h sur le stand de la F.F.P.P., Rémora, le premier bateau électrique de servitude innovant, performant et respectueux de l’environnement. Conçu sur-mesure et destiné en priorité aux personnels des ports de plaisance, il a été développé en partenariat avec la Fédération Française des Ports de Plaisance (F.F.P.P.) et en collaboration technique avec les directeurs de ports. La société brestoise E3H, invitée d’honneur au Nautic 2008 avec Odonata, leur premier bateau électrique, est de retour cette année au Salon Nautique de Paris avec une deuxième création. Des performances écologiques et techniques Pendant huit mois, ils ont réfléchi ensemble à un cahier des charges, dans l’objectif de réaliser un bateau répondant à des exigences de performance et de fiabilité et, bien évidemment, respectueux de l’environnement.

Les plans d’un nouvel appareil étaient déjà bien avancés depuis longtemps, sur la base d’un moteur fixe au niveau du bord de fuite, avec hélice repliable vers l’arrière comme sur le PIUMA ou l’EXEL, solution simple et sûre qui me paraît plus adaptée à l’U.L.M. que le moteur rentrant. Icaré 2 Les travaux commencèrent sans tarder, début octobre 2001, sur la base des plans existants de l’Amphiplane revus et corrigés. sur cette matrice j’ai réalisé le moule femelle en polyester, en trois parties . (temps total pour la matrice et le moule : environ 7 mois à 140 h/mois, soit environ 1000 heures). enfin, dans ce moule j’ai réalisé en fibre de verre et de carbone le fuselage proprement dit . They drink from a bottle of water (of course, it could be Vodka), then pour the liquid into what appears to be a fuel tank. As it's running, they show the exhaust being clean. Japanese breakthrough will make wind power cheaper than nuclear NOTE: Some major wind projects like the proposed TWE Carbon Valley project in Wyoming are already pricing in significantly lower than coal power -- $80 per MWh for wind versus $90 per MWh for coal -- and that is without government subsidies using today's wind turbine technology. The International Clean Energy Analysis (ICEA) gateway estimates that the U.S. possesses 2.2 million km2 of high wind potential (Class 3-7 winds) — about 850,000 square miles of land that could yield high levels of wind energy. This makes the U.S. something of a Saudi Arabia for wind energy, ranked third in the world for total wind energy potential. The United States uses about 26.6 billion MWh's, so at the above rate we could satisfy a full one-third of our total annual energy needs. Now what if a breakthrough came along that potentially tripled the energy output of those turbines? Well, such a breakthrough has been made, and it's called the "wind lens."
