65 Popular And Professional Free Fonts For Creative Typography Some time ago I created article – 52 Really High Quality Free Fonts For Modern And Cool Design, which turned out to be very popular. But I felt like I haven’t featured even a half of beautiful, professional free fonts, so I decided to continue with another article. This time I found 65 high quality fonts, where many of them are very good for font creation, creative graphic typographic works, unique web design titles and so on. But hey – we are here all becoming/experienced designers, I don’t need to tell you where to use those fonts, I am here to find that stuff for you! Note – before using these fonts for commercial projects, check out creator copyrights (on their homepages, not asking me – I am just collector), because all of these fonts are free for personal use, but not all for commercial usage. Note – Updated on April 30, 2012
Berlin Font Family Berlin is a group of display fonts inspired by the classic geometric typefaces from early last century. It features (so far) four versions, each one in three weights: regular, bold & X-bold. Earlier this year Mark and I started working on Mr Red’s re-designs. Back then we thought about creating a font system to be used on the sayings and promo material.
Free Hi-Res Old Postcard Images Part 2 Here comes another pack of cool vintage postcards! Same as the previous one, there are 14 high resolution old postcard images (at around 5200x3300px). Some have stamps and postmarks form 1900s. If you would like to customize them, don’t forget to check out my old postmark Photoshop tutorial. 20+ Tools to Create Your Own Infographics A picture is worth a thousand words – based on this, infographics would carry hundreds of thousands of words, yet if you let a reader choose between a full-length 1000-word article and an infographic that needs a few scroll-downs, they’d probably prefer absorbing information straight from the infographic. What’s not to like? Colored charts and illustrations deliver connections better than tables and figures and as users spend time looking back and forth the full infographic, they stay on the site longer. Plus, readers who like what they see are more likely to share visual guides more than articles. While not everyone can make infographics from scratch, there are tools available on the Web that will help you create your very own infographics.
The In-Between – February 14th, 2013 – Breakpoints. Break. Points. Points at which things break in your design. But, at what point did they start becoming ‘the point at which I will create a new layout entirely’, or ‘the point at which I introduce a new canvas’. Free For All: 103 Free Fonts! In this installment of "Free for All," I'll cover just one type of freebie: everyone's favorite, free fonts! You'll find script fonts, modern fonts, funky fonts, and more. All told, there are more than 100 free fonts in this one article—enough to keep even the biggest type geek giddily building type spec sheets for weeks! Please note that licenses on the fonts below vary from personal use only to free for commercial use.
10 TYPOGRAPHIC PINTEREST’S BOARDS TO FOLLOW We all know very well that Pinterest is a social network entirely visual that serves as a big box from which we can draw any kind of inspiration. Indeed, we already recommended you an excellent board about typography in old beers or a selection of old coffee containers. Today we wanted to gather 10 typographic boards that are perfect to follow by any letters’ lover. We could have selected 20, 50 or even 100 as the offer within Pinterest is huge but we wanted to keep this list short and well selected (believe me when I say that it has been very hard to pick only 10, I spend quite a while deciding who to take off the list). We were not lead by the pins or the followers amount, so in this selection of 10 we found boards with 100.000 followers and also those with only 200, we didn’t keep it within a specific subject as within the typography you can find old documents, labels, packaging, logotypes, traditional printing boards…
