Green Smoothie for Weight Loss?
One of my absolute favorite things is a Green Smoothie. It’s a fast, easy, and delicious way to get a big dose of vitamins and minerals, plus it tastes FANTASTIC!! Don’t let the color’s fool you!! It is sweet and filling – even the kids love it!! They love to name it the “Monster Smoothie” or “Shreck Smoothie” or some other fun name but believe me, kids go crazy for it!! And it’s a great way to sneak in some powerful green nutrition into their diet. It’s super fast to make and a great breakfast or snack option, especially for people on the go and those looking to lose weight. This recipe is super simple. 1-2 bananas1/2 cup frozen peaches1/2 cup frozen mangoa couple handfuls of spinachwater Add just enough water to blend and enjoy, that’s it! I’ve have clients who have literally changed their lives just by adding Green Smoothies into their routine. You can see all of my delicious smoothie recipes here. A bit of green Hi everyone! Just a quick post to share an awesome recipe I found today: Chickpea Cookie Bites! I was inspired by this recipe, but, as usual in my household, I didn’t have all the ingredients and I improvised. I made them with only four ingredients! Thing in a Jar - StumbleUpon Thing in a Jar 7 inches by 4 inches, mason jar Pictured above is the Thing in a Jar that's usually sitting in my office at work. The coolest thing about the Thing is that everyone responds to seeing it by asking questions. Sand and Sea Beach Cupcakes I’m usually not one to do themed cupcakes unless they are really easy, and these are. I made lemon flavored cupcakes just by using store bought cake mix and then a simple homemade buttercream. You don’t even need a pastry bag to frost the cupcakes, this recipe only requires a butter knife.

Sugar and Charm: italian sodas June 30, 2011 | Sweet Recipes | Comments Growing up, these Italian sodas were my favorite!! My mom and I would always stop by a little coffee shack on our road trips to Oregon. I remember ordering the blueberry Italian soda in the summer instead of ice cream because they were so refreshing. French Vanilla Coffee Creamer Please check out the updated version of this coffee creamer with more than 2 dozen flavors you can make yourself, and some great hints & tips! Coffee is my best friend in the mornings. Sometimes it is even my best friend in the afternoon. I take mine with cream & sugar while my husband takes his sugar & cream with a little bit of coffee. Needless to say, coffee creamer is as much of a necessity in our house as a loaf of bread. It can get expensive though & a lot of the times, you can’t even pronounce all of the ingredients on the label.

10 Ways to Eat Pizza for Breakfast I get bored for breakfast. I know this is absurd. There are no less than four thousand cereal flavor options in the store. There are endless arrays of items that go on top of oatmeal and alongside pancakes. But still, it can get a wee bit boring. Starved Brain Cells May Be Why Diets Fail When a dieter starves themselves of calories, they starve their brain cells as well. New research finds that these hungry brain cells then release "feed me" signals, which drive hunger, slow metabolism and may cause diets to fail. When the researchers created mice whose brain cells couldn't send out the signals, or appetite-increasing proteins, and these mice were leaner and ate less than normal after being starved. "We generated a mouse that lacked this process in these neurons," study researcher Rajat Singh, of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, said. "What we find is these mice eat less in response to a starvation challenge; they are leaner and they are healthier." The results likely would apply to humans, as mice are often used as biological models for us, the researchers say; even so, further research is needed to confirm the same process occurs in humans. The Infamous Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip Cookies Now, I have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that I swear by. I love it, I think it is incredible, and I haven’t changed my mind about that. However, as much as it pains me to say it, these chocolate chip cookies by Jacques Torres are absolutely, without a doubt, the best chocolate chip cookies that I have ever made or tasted in my entire life. I guess that’s why they call him Mr. Chocolate! These are a chocolate chip cookie of another color, that’s for sure.

Homemade Facewash — The Oil Cleansing Method A few months ago, I decided I wanted to try homemade cleaning and beauty products. I started small, by replacing a few of my cleaning products with vinegar {I’ll talk more about this later}. Then I started using vinegar and safety pins as an alternative to fabric softener. However, the one homemade product I’m most excited about is my homemade face wash. The Oil Cleansing Method Yup, we’re washing our face with oil — which I know sounds absolutely ridiculous.
