You still have until tomorrow, July 22 to enter my first blogiversary giveaway! Get your entries in! Have you guys heard of Pinterest? Pinterest is a virtual “pinboard” that allows you to visually bookmark images from all over the internet. You can sort your images onto separate pinboards to share them with friends and other pinners. It’s really fun and has been a great way for me to organize photos for fashion and home inspiration, as well as links to all the fabulous DIY tutorials I find and want to file away for a rainy day. A few weeks ago I came across this image on Pinterest: “Banana Republic Braided Top DIY” Image: jaynsarah.blogspot.com via Danielle on Pinterest I love adding new projects to my DIY pinboard so I followed the link, which led me to a blog post entitled “Banana Republic Braided Top DIY… but Fail.” Since this was the only photo I had of the shirt, I went to the Banana Republic site to try to find the top for sale. My Zipper Tee DIY tutorial...Tshirt Recycle Supplies: Zipper 22 inches or so... old tshirt or 1 yard fabric. Autumn is when we bust out arm warmers for the boys around here, so I thought I'd show you this idea again - plus the new ones I just made.

mad in crafts: DIY Fire & Ice Lanterns The old becomes new: A new variation on the outdoor lantern. We have had an unusually warm winter in Michigan this year, and while the temps have been nice, I have had to hold off on this project idea until we got a cold snap. We finally got some snow and cold earlier this week, so I was able to try out this fun winter project. I had pinned a product called Globe Ice Lantern Kits a few months back recognizing that I could DIY them at home. Originally priced at nearly $30 for a kit that makes 6 lanterns, I think they are very reasonable for a small batch. DIY – Off the Shoulder T-shirt It seems everywhere I look these days I see pretty people rocking off the shoulder cuts. First there was Leandra Medine – mother of all things fashion -, then the lovely Alissa, then the Sartorialist. Before I knew it my friends, neighbors, hell, the bus driver all went shoulder revealed.

DIY Solar USB Charger - Altoids I've been reading a bunch of blogs this fine Earth Day morning and have noticed that most of them are posting little write ups about green solar powered USB gadget chargers. They're all quite nice, but also quite expensive. I don't think I've seen any for less than $60, and I've not seen one that really suits my style. DIY Craft Project: How to craft a twine-ball light garland {As featured on Rock n Roll Bride} Time for another DIY craft project and today I’ll be showing you exactly how you can make this twine-ball light garland yourself. It’s one of those projects that’s a little bit messy and does take quite a bit of time, but it is so much fun. Plus you have a really cool piece of decor at the end of it. Perfect for parties or around the home, you can paint it up in any colour you want to match your design scheme, and when lit, it looks so pretty, casting lots of patterned twinkly light everywhere. Mine is now taking pride of place in my office. How-to make a Twine Ball Light Garland

How to Make a Chandelier (Part 2 (With Friends)) I'm not going to lie to you, this chandelier is both time + labor intensive. However, we worked assembly line style + were able to finish 4 chandeliers that night. 1. Tear off your wax paper into long pieces. We used 2 - 2.5 foot pieces. Learn How to Sew a Giraffe Doll at WomansDay.com - Free Craft Ideas - Womans Day - StumbleUpon Project excerpted from More Softies Only a Mother Could Love: 22 Hapless but Lovable Friends to Sew and Crochet I based this giraffe pattern on a collage I made out of vintage paper. After being inspired by other "giraffe makers,” I decided to turn the design into a three-dimensional toy. This is the result.

T-Shirt Reconstruction DIY Hi Lovelies, So I got this pretty darn cool T-Shirt from my amazing brazilian friend Samira back in CT. I never wore it though due to it being kinda big on me. Now I had some time on my hands and I decided to reconstuct this T-Shirt to make it more custom and fitting.
